The Solution is Dilution The same people obsessed over wearing face masks are often the same people who think HCQ does NOT work against Covid19 and/or is “dangerous.” I’m a doctor. I’ve looked at most of the scientific data currently available. I just reviewed an unpublished study on mask effectiveness tonight for the author, a good friend, doctor and superb medical researcher, that looked at all the credible scientific data. There have been no studies on the current coronaviruses but multiple studies on multiple other types of respiratory viruses. There is NO scientific data that says wearing a mask outdoors is of any benefit whatsoever. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. For that matter, wearing cloth or surgical masks indoors has no statistical benefit either, according to all the existing medical studies to date. There is evidence from ONE study that N95 masks reduce transmission by 54%. That was only found in one study. The rest found little difference between N95, surgical and cloth masks, i.e., they didn’t make a statistically significant difference in transmission rates. That mask wearing is a necessity is political / propaganda based, not science based. Opposition to HCQ for Covid19, for that matter, is political / propaganda based, not science based. What does this prove? That propaganda works. (I.e., we are living in an age of universal diabolical disorientation.) “The solution is dilution.” When you’re outside, the sheer volume of air, plus air currents and breezes, dilutes your exhaled breath so much and so quickly that the chance of infecting others, or being infected by others, is incredibly (infinitesimally?) small. When you’re indoors, air does not circulate or get “diluted” so there is a higher risk of transmitting virus. Despite this, individuals working in positions such as grocery store clerks in the US have had a very tiny number of Covid 19 infections, even before the use of masks. Why? Because transmission generally depends on prolonged and intimate exposure to or by those infected. Not casual transient exposure. If you’re still concerned about exposure, buy and use and then discard N95 masks, as one study shows a 54% decrease in infection rate when they are properly fitted, handled properly and properly disposed after one shift. Science has proven surgical and cloth masks to make no statistically significant improvement in reduction of transmission of respiratory virus. Let’s stick with science, not feel-good-ism or political propaganda. Open the Churches, have Faith, Be Not Afraid, and quit cowering in fear.

The problem with this whole thing is we could end it. We could stand up and say "enough". The majority questions these draconian measures and suspects the data being released. But there are just enough (minority) that are screaming loud and causing trouble. And then there is the media.......parasites and bottom dwellers of the minority that keep us bathed in false information. I know for a fact that I do not want to live in the "new normal". But what do I do? How do I get around it? Very sad times.
Parasites and bottom dwellers says it all. Today at Mass our wonderful priest spoke about prayer and necessity of disengaging with the world. We are only passing through on our way to the Father and anything that distracts must be put aside. I had sudden peace about these times we are in--i pray we are spared but if God wills otherwise then we must give our fiat and trust Him to bring us through. I intend to keep praying hard about the election but I just had lovely peace about it this morning.
I support the wearing of masks and see it as an act of charity to do so. Too many people whine about it.
I despise this 'new normal' catch phrase with every fiber of my being because a new normal implies a destructive reset. When a mandate comes along telling us we must receive a vaccine I believe we will see serious resistance. A day does not go by when I hear someone say, “Oh, you just have to roll with it.” No, I do not want to roll with something that has robbed every man, woman and child of life experiences that we can never get back. How many loved ones died alone in hospitals or nursing homes. How many lost their jobs, homes and businesses, is this their new normal? I don't know what else we can do but pray to God for mercy. Yes, we are truly in a very sad situation.
I don't support businesses that police people going into them without one or tolerate neurotic customers who take it upon themselves to hassle other citizens due to their choice not to wear one.
At evening Mass tonight, Fr Dom focused on the question, How MUCH does Jesus really mean to you?? I further paraphrase...What, how far, where are you willing to do go say....go against....? We are such rebels with the greatest cause of all!!
I ask because I know the Church well and Fr Dominic. He is a lovely good recently ordained priest. Lucky you! What a small world.

As for me and my household, we will use exorcism holy water as Father Blount suggested for protection along with my daily rosary. The governments unfounded stat's of enslavement to socialists control in the whole mask wearing thing is all about falling in line with big government. This tells me, most Christians will walk to the talk of the communist controllers that are just around the corner now in running everything. Fine, wear your masks, but if anyone thinks this is doing much of anything, you are not coming to this conclusion by scientific evidence. I work in a place where N95 masks have always been worn when in a lab area where vaccines are produced in cleanroom settings. No other masks will suffice in this controlled area via the government oversight. Masks in public is simply a test to see what % of people will bend to the government and it is socialist leaders in the various states that are requiring them for the most part. Their test is going well many places including sadly, in Catholic Churches.
Where we are ALL businesses mandate masks. It’s just the reality of the situation in many areas, Don. You are fortunate that you have a choice.
