Countdown to the Feast of the Annunciation

RosaryWielder Away working on a lot of changes in my life.

The Feast that commemorates what St. Louis de Monfort emphasized as the holiest of things related to the Blessed Mother, is coming up, and I have been making preparations to celebrate this Feast day for awhile. However, my grandmother is coming to visit, and she has recently been diagnosed with diabetes, so that complicates things a lot, please pray for her, especially.

I have bought a lot of gifts for my family members, including books that I hope interest them and bring them closer to the Faith. Please pray that the Feast goes well, and brings my family closer to Jesus through Mary.

    Thanks.

    RW,

It is a precious Feast. Sam and co. here on MOG will be finishing up and consecrating themselves to Mary as will a merry band in the parish here in Mexico, NY. May Our Lady's prayers touch the hearts of your loved ones and us all this coming Monday!

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

Yes, the most beautiful feast of the Annunciation is now here, when Our Lady gave Her Heart to God, the Spirit of God overshadowed Her, and the Son of God was Conceived in Her Holy Womb. Let us imitate the perfect consecration Our Lady made of Her Life and Her Will by saying "Fiat" to God. Let us say our own Fiat to God and for Her this day, now almost 2020 years since the day She first said Her Fiat to God for us Her children. We'll certainly be praying for your family, RW.

Did you ever wonder why Gabrial asked Mary , 'Not to be afraid'?

I don't thiink it was at the appearance of the angel, I think Mary was quite familiar with angels, including Gabriel himself. She was forever in the company of angels and was quite at home with them since she was a baby.

No I think what she might have taken fright at was the invitation he brought from heaven to become the Mother of the Lord. The greatest news ever brought to a human being.

So strange today we had mass but of an ordinary Lent day. No readings or liturgy for the Great Feast. I was so concerned I was going to ask after mass.

Ir read the most beautiful thing about ourselves and the Blessed Trinity a few days ago. It describes how we resemble the Triinity. It reminds me of the scripture:

    Psalm 8:5

    How Majestic is Your Name!
…4what is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You care for him? 5You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor. 6You made him ruler of the works of Your hands; You have placed everything under his feet:…

Firstly we in ourselves resemble the Father. Then as we regard ourselves, our conciousness of ourselves we resemble the Son. Lastly in the love of the Son for the Father and the Father for the Son in our Spirit we resemble the Holy Spirit. So three in one and one in three.

I think a wonderful was to regard the Marian Mystery of the Annunciation can be good like that in a personal manner.

    So as scripture says,

    2 Corinthians 3:18

The Glory of the New Covenant
…17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

So the Annunication, the Incarnation is a Transformational event of the Trinity. We are giving birth to Christ in our very selves, growing in the Trinity when we say, 'Yes' .

By the way there is a great app in Google Play all the time of the Angelus. You can press the button and here the angelus bells ring out and the prayer comes before you.

Lovely . Just type in Angelus into Google play and it will come up.

My parents have enjoyed, their gifts. I got my dad Dr. Taylor Marshall's Thomas Aquinas in 50 Pages, and I overheard him saying to my mom yesterday, that he's a fan of Professor Jordan Peterson, and some of the things he's heard Prof. Peterson said, have encouraged him to focus on reading Thomas Aquinas in 50 Pages; so things are looking really good for my dad.
