In fairness sorry or should I say happy to say that the indian variant nonsense is no more dangerous or transmissible than the original non event. Turn off your tv.
What part of Brazil do you live in, Luan? I have a special place in my heart for Brazil. Years ago I spent some time in Flamengo and Copa Cabana, Rio de Janeiro and also travelled to Sao Paulo, Vila Velha Espirito Santo ( tomb of Jose Ancheta) and Aparecida.
Just inserting a blast from the past as they say: a video of Mike Wallace interviewing Dr Michael Hatwick of the CDC on the neurological disorders that resulted from the influenza vaccine. Ah, what journalism used to be back then... sigh
I can turn off the TV, but that will not prevent me from witnessing countless acquaintances of mine dying or needing a breathing apparatus, and that includes many who were not even denying the seriousness of the disease.
What was vaccination take up like in Brazil?
In Brazil, the vaccination campaign against covid-19 has already immunized more than 40 million people with the first dose, which corresponds to 18% of the population, with more than 19 million having already received the second dose; And this week, the country reached the mark of 90 million vaccines distributed, according to the Ministry of Health.

I appreciate the affection and prayers for my country; I live in the state of Santa Catarina I belong to the tubarão diocese
My anger would be taken out against those who have deliberately suppressed the cheap and readily available treatments for this flu equivalent virus. They want the death and the fear it generates pure and simple .
The facts are this virus kills by and large over 80 year olds with one or more co morbidities. Whilst people die and will continue to do so of respiratory viruses I will not participate in the fear porn of hyper inflating the mortality of this illness. The statistics do not lie.
the virus is not a common flu because the common flu did not simultaneously collapse the health system of several countries, did not kill several members of the same family in a matter of days (as it has been happening in Brazil) and did not leave so many permanent sequels for months, and although the elderly and people with disorders are still the majority of deaths it is not normal for most of these people to have a terrible death dying without air or intubated.
In terms of deaths it's a statistical bad flu equivalent. regarding peoples end of life care it need not be that way. Effective treatments are available and work for most at risk patients when began at onset of the virus. It simply isnt a pandemic and isnt killing mass numbers of people no matter how much you may wish this to be the case.
Health system collapse. Where? If this flu collapsed a health system then the health system was already broken I'm afraid.
Italy; Spain, Ecuador; India; several states in Brazil such as Amazonas and Santa Catarina.
it is not quite the opposite, no matter how indifferent you are to what is happening.
That could explain the rise in covid.
Same thing in India. Mass vaccination led to escape of mutant strain.
No getting your point
Health systems collapsing due to tik tokking medical staff, medical negligence, and third world medical infrastructure NOT covid
Maybe my translation was bad, I basically said that you were being indifferent to the real situation (collapse of the health care system; members of the same family dying in a matter of days). I said this in response to your insinuation that I wished the virus was more deadly than it really is.
My point is simply the reality of covid in no way matches with the narrative. The demand for corpses outweighs the supply and the fear porn fills in the gaps.
