Catholic prophecy timeline

I was trying find a timeline based on Catholic prophecy earlier today but got lots of protestant ones online which are mostly rubbish.

I have started to make one of my own so will post in a day or two & would like input from forum members it's only a bit of fun so please tell me what you think.

There is a certain framework that I believe in that forms the foundation of the timeline.

I believe there are two periods of tribulation the lesser and the greater tribulation the latter comes after a period of peace. I believe the antichrist comes near the end the world and Christ's second coming leads to his destruction and the end of time.

Since I believe in Garabandal then there will be the warning and the Great Miracle.

I am not sure where the great Catholic monarch and holy Pope fit in so I am open to suggestions.

I don't agree with their timeline with regard to the anti Christ.

 

Here we go - I did this in about an hour from the top of my head, so don't shoot me - I know prophecy is not an exact science so this is just a bit of conjecture -

I start off with the Lesser Tribulation period -

The information above the timeline refers to what happens to the Catholic Church.

 

The second part is the era of peace followed by the Great Tribulation, the coming of the anti-Christ and the return of Jesus Christ -



I was not sure where to place the Great Catholic Monarch and Holy Pope. My thinking is that after the purification of the world (Akita fire/3 days darkness) that we will return to holy Catholic monarchies rather than democracy, the latter which always fails in a spectacular manner as we are seeing presently. So it might make sense that in the period of the Triumph of our Lady we would have one of the Greatest Popes in History - perhaps Peter II (Peter the Roman?).

 

Saint John Bosco speaks of a warrior coming from the north who will help the pope, so I think that this warrior (who may or may not necessarily be French) will reestablish the pope on his throne after exile. He fulfills a mission by always protecting the supreme pontiff and worshiping, above all, the King of Kings, who is Jesus.

Ronald L Conte Jnr, a severe critic of all prophecy, claims
"The Antichrist will be born in the late 24th century, and will take power in the early 25th century. This timing was determined by my study of eschatology, including the prophecies of Daniel, the book of Revelation, and the words of the Virgin Mary at La Salette. On that same basis, his actual rise to power over the whole world occurs from 2430 to 2431 in the A.D. calendar system. This timing will help the persons of that time period identify the Antichrist".

What if he himself is the advocate of the antichrist to misled people by his false prophecies?

 

Your two timelines are not completely wrong. But thy represent two different ways of describing the same sequence of events. In other words, you should understand that the events overlap.

However, in order to see this more clearly a few corrections are needed to the sequences.

1. "The Period of Worldwide Peace" in your second timeline is the same as the "Fatima Era of Peace" in your first timeline. That "Peace" is the END of the Age of the Church. It is the end of the prophecies as they relate to the human pilgrimage to Heaven. For the faithful remnant, that is the end of the prophecies. It is the "Rest" of the "Seventh Day of Creation." It happens at the Seventh Trumpet. In your description, you have this "Peace" as the beginning of another sequence. That is incorrect.

2. The "Era of Holiness" in your second timeline is the same period as "Churches full/Confession lines" in your first timeline. That describes the period immediately following the Warning/Illumination of Conscience. But be aware that most people on earth will reject the illumination. The world splits into two well-defined groups: 1) a tiny number of converted faithful who accepted the illumination and 2) the huge number of worldlings who refused to change. This is the period of the Two Witnesses, which ends at the end of the Three Days of Darkness.

3. After the Period of the Two Witnesses is the "Era of Peace" for the persevering tiny faithful remnant and "the Wrath" for the unrepentant masses.

 

These are excellent. And I agree with them completely. They are right in line with what is described at Garabandal ad well as the teaching tradition through history as outlined by Desmond Birch and other authors on this subject. Thanks for putting this together. The one question that remains that I don't think we really know yet, but who suppresses the mass? I always understood it to be part of the communist takeover when the pope was martyred...but it's looking perhaps that it will be within the church itself that that occurs.

 

Timelines are fun. From what Our lady says in her apparitions some things are fixed, some not. For instance the Tribulation must come but it can be mitigated with conversion, prayer, penance andreperation.

But events prophised in Scripture cannot of course be changed. They are fixed and according to visionaries we are passing through events mentioned in the Book of the apocalypse, I think chapters 12and13.

I love the way Mary is always in their batting, Always bringing hope.

 

Where would you put the warning, Brian?

 

I know I’m alone here with thinking that there are two major AC’s in the Bible, but I still believe the AC today is the one most written about. The Jews having gone back to Israel is a major sign that we are in the timeline of the AC. Our world has never been worse. One can feel the tension and evil worldwide. Our Church is falling, which is exactly what the evil one wants more than anything. Just last week Obama visited London for a meeting with the prime minister, and visited most likely the Rothschilds. I think we are here. The Warning is close, and it’s prophesied that things will get worse before and after the Warning. I do feel the AC is alive today.

 

There are many who hold this view as well! My only reason for leaning toward the ac coming after the Era of peace is because the Blessed Mother has never mentioned the AC in any of the major apparitions in relation to the comjng Era of peace. But we will find out soon!

 

The Pope’s path of more confusion.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains the sequence of the end times events. The word "ultimate" means "final" or "last." Please note that the CCC teachings are pulled from the key "end times" Bible verses (see the footnotes).

There is one final Antichrist who is a single man using a "religious deception" to lead "many believers" into "glorifying" that man (the Antichrist) "in place of God and his Messiah come in the flesh." The word "believers" refers to Catholics. Who is the ultimate guide for Catholics? The Pope.

Therefore, this Antichrist refers to the false Pope (a non-canonically elected Antipope), who contradicts the teachings of Jesus, deceiving Catholics into following his false teachings. For example, we see this in the false Pope's teaching of blessing unrepentant sinners in homosexual unions. We see this also in his teaching that divorced and remarried adulterers can receive Holy Communion.

Those Catholics, who go along with these false teachings, are glorifying a man (the Antichrist) in place of God. Following the false teachings of a man (a false Pope) rather than the unchangeable teachings found in God's Commandments.

The Church's ultimate trial

675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.573 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth574 will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.575

676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgement. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,576 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.577

677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.578 The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven.579 God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgement after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.580

Regarding the Era of Peace, CCC Section 677 (above) mentions it as God causing "his Bride to come down from heaven." This happens one time--at the very end of the Age of the Church. There are not two periods of peace. This is confirmed by CCC Section 673:

672 Before his Ascension, Christ affirmed that the hour had not yet come for the glorious establishment of the messianic kingdom awaited by Israel561 which, according to the prophets, was to bring all men the definitive order of justice, love and peace.562 According to the Lord, the present time is the time of the Spirit and of witness, but also a time still marked by "distress" and the trial of evil which does not spare the Church563 and ushers in the struggles of the last days. It is a time of waiting and watching.564

The glorious advent of Christ, the hope of Israel

673 Since the Ascension, Christ's coming in glory has been imminent,565 even though "it is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority."566. This eschatological coming could be accomplished at any moment, even if both it and the final trial that will precede it are "delayed".567

Note that the final sentence of Section 673 says that "the final trial" (described in 675-677) will PRECEDE the "eschatological coming." And Section 672 describes that Coming as bringing to all men "the definitive order of justice, love and peace." To say that there will be a worldwide Era of Peace "within history" (i.e., before the Second Coming) is the precisely the teaching of the Antichrist (discussed in Section 676) that is condemned by the CCC as "secular messianism."

So, the Era of Peace happens AFTER the Second Coming, and the Second Coming happens AFTER the Church's Ultimate Trial. It is in this "Ultimate Trial of the Church" that the Antichrist propagates his deception.

Here is the sequence according to the CCC:

Period of Antichrist --> Second Coming --> Era of Peace

 

You are assuming that the Antichrist will be a Pope. That is incorrect.
