Thanks again, Christy. I pretty much agree with the majority of this article other than the fact that Garabandal has not yet been completely put to rest. It’s outcome is still to be determined since the promised events have not yet taken place. And the first of these would be the Warning, and this in Conchita’s lifetime.~AN

I’m sorry earth-I meant no offense when I asked nor did I hope to stir anything up. I just realized that in going through this discernment process, I hadn’t heard as many concrete reasons why those who do believe him feel the way they do, and I was only hoping to understand your point of view. Thank you for sharing.

    I am afraid so.

I would be as inclined to avoid Count Down to the Kingdom as I would the Virus

I love listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

A great good, in my book.

I still don't buy into Joseph Smith.

    This from past history:
    • Fatima was not approved till after their prophecies, such as the miracle of the sun came true.
    • Bernadette at Lourdes was not approved till after the miracles.
    • Our Lady of Guadalupe was not approved till after the miracles with Juan Diego.
    • Our Lord Jesus Christ was not validated by even his apostles until after he rose from the dead.
Seems every major and significant events in the life of the church and throughout biblical history were not approved till after the events took place. Sound familiar today with the naysayers>?

    True.

    But:

    - Lucia was never caught lying/exaggerating

    - Bernadette was never caught lying/exaggerating

-Juan Diego was never caught lying/exaggerating

-Our Lord was never caught lying exaggerating

Father Michel has. He is not an exorcist and never had his Bishop’s approval. To compare him to the above examples is foolish.

Apparently, garabandal was not condemned. So for our own discernment but there are many many priests and faithful who believe in its authenticity. I don't know if any diary was ever written by the visionaries. I assume not, but taking a young girl and holding her for 5 hours to try to convince her to sign papers of denial doesn't sound very Christian. I guess time will tell.

Please consider looking at Glen’s thread on Garabandal Fede. He is our resident expert here and has a lot of good information.

My own research outside of prophecy seem to support many of his claims. Journalists are lying to people. The technology invented for the vaccine and “digital certificates” is very sketchy. I can easily see how we might not be able to buy or sell without it someday. They’re even creating health passports. So if nothing great happens in October his prophecies are not of God.

But on the other hand they could be. If all the troubling things the pope has said over the years mean nothing since he didn’t formally speak ex cathedra, I’m not sure if any bishop has formally condemned his message either. I don’t see a formal one, but maybe an informal one, and I’m not sure if it has any weight. If no great event takes place by November then I won’t worry. I’ll obey the bishop and not spread the messages. But he’s been right so far.

I am borrowing a quote from Gisela’s bishop and applying it to Fr M or anyone else for that matter: “he has a 50% chance of being right.”:D

Hello Christy, I tried opening the link on Becky Malmquist, the person you quoted on this post, but the message from FB says it's unavailable, Who is she? Is she a theologian? I noticed that Kevin Symonds also mentions her, but nothing more.

I am VERY open to Garabandal. That’s why I posted what I did. To me, it’s not in the same category as all the others listed since it still has a fluidity about it that keeps it in motion until God potentiality acts.

    Hi Booklady,

Hmmm. That link works fine for me. You might try clicking on the link in the Symonds article. I believe she's an admin for the Contemplative Prayer Group and is studying to be a Carmelite. It will say on her page, for sure.

Brief update on Fr. Rodrigue. He is not working with members of his new order at the moment. They can only communicate with him via mail.

"...The Apostolic Fraternity of St. Benoit Joseph Labre did not react to the bishops’ comments.

“Father Michel Rodrigue is currently on a spiritual retreat,” said a spokesman, adding that any request for information should be sent to him by mail.

“We, too, can only contact him by mail now,” said Martel."

    Thank you, Christy.

No it does not work for me. Tried many times. I am asking you because you introduced her to us at MOG and spoke well of her, so I assume you know more about her.

Regarding the position of administrator for the Contemplative Prayer Group, do you mean administrator, like in charge of a Facebook group?

Also, do you know if this group is under the auspices or affiliated with a Catholic Church or religious order , or is this solely a Facebook site? Do you happen to know if the Group has a separate website? And is there a link to the group? Thanks in advance.

PS. I noticed that Kevin Symonds linked her name to the Christine Watson's imprimatur. It only showed a picture of the verso of the title page. But now the link to the Facebook page is also expired so I can't see it again.

    "URL signature expired"

    Hi again, Booklady,

I don't personally know Becky Malmquist. All I know is what I've read on the Facebook group posts, which a friend pointed me to. They are all members of a contemplative prayer discussion group on FB. (Not church sponsored to my knowledge.) Clearly there are plenty of active Catholics out there who don't go along with the "prophetic consensus" espoused by "Countdown."

The post is the work of many people who did research and contributed responses that were then compiled. I copied it for this thread to provide another and different look at the issues underlying Fr. Rodrigue's messages and disavowal.

Now, I don't know why you can't access the FB page!! Are you signed up for Facebook? I usually sign in before I look around, although I have not had problems myself following links. Sorry I can't be more help, I'm not very technical.

Yes! I certainly wish people could see this fact. Is it some Modernist theological invention needing ten plus pages in order for it to be explained, with words dancing around each paragraph creating a veneer of semblance? If yes, then it’s likely some novelty of its creator and, as far as I’m concerned, doesn’t hold much weight.~AN
