Being Thankful is not Always Easy It is not always easy being thankful, as we age our burdens can pile up, when cynical or bitter, it is difficult to see a brighter light, yet faith is a way of seeing, of being, based on a sober choice, to be bitter or thankful, a choice as well, yet, it can feel like death to embrace what we have, in hope, and forgive, let go, trust.-Br.MD I am now old, and the struggle continues the same one, yet I see its meaning— to keep me moving forward even when I fail. I seem to be getting happier as I age, but there is still a way to go. I am now 76, and the years go by so very fast.-Br.MD
Thanks Brother Mark for this reminder. My wife and I received a great grace and blessing after our accident to see’s Gods hand and blessing in it. It’s still not what I would have picked but this event has made me focus and understand more than ever God always has our good at heart. I pray that his grace continues to flow that I may love the Shema- to love the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul. Happy Thanksgiving. peace.
