I believe Pope Francis will "defend" sound Catholic moral teaching. What worries me is his bold misinterpreted comments. Some like to scrutinize, sensationalize and sensitize the perfectly good.

"I have a dogmatic certainty: God is in every person's life. God is in everyone's life. Even if the life of a person has been a disaster, even if it is destroyed by vices, drugs or anything else - God is in this person's life. You can - you must - try to seek God in every human life."

P if your quotes and your personal interpretation of them were clear on this point I would not be repeatedly asking you to identify from your voluminous material what is specifically apposite... and you would have assisted. Because you are unable or unwilling to assist in this you give the impression of having no real support for what you believe is a mainstream Catholic view on the matter.

Therefore you have been unable to persuade me away from my own well researched view on this point - which is that your unsupported view is unlikely.

As this point has never been defined as far as I know you are certainly entitled to your view and so of course it's Catholic. Whether it is mainstream Catholic is another matter.

As your are unwilling to assist collaboratively in discussing the point I raised but seem to have taken a defensive attitude it seems best not to try and take this more deeply with you.

Sometimes intellectuals have really nothing to say...a few words are more enlightening then a thesis about nothing
