It all looks so callous. He's an old man with a lot of blood on his hands yet seems to believe that he did no wrong. He seems not to ne overly intelligent so maybe he was manipulated. It looks like his party did the dirty on him and that's bound to have been a devastating blow to him. The Jewish lobby gets most of the blame for America's warmongering and anti-Cristian foreign and domestic policies. They, along with the Americans, surely are culpable for the genocide in Palestine. But I still have some doubts that the current state of affairs is all their fault. For all we know, the Jews, despite their financial clout, could also be useful tools. What bothers me most is the way that Christianity, thanks to the Evangelicals and cafeteria Catholics like Biden, is portrayed as the face of the evil they do. That must be a terrible stumbling block to the spread of the faith as the rest of the world looks on in horror. I also wish that our Bishops would distance themselves from Christian Zionism. It's not unusual to see comments from Orthodox Christians linking that heresy as stemming from Rome when nothing could be further from the truth. Some people sympathetic to Russia also like to spin a yarn that the current hate fest against Russia and all things Russian is somehow down to Catholicism when clearly the hate spin is coming from NATO's warmongers who are very far removed from anything remotely aligned with the Catholic faith. The anti-God, religion causes wars, crowd are loving it. Now more than ever, loving the sinner while hating the sin is fundamental to our faith.

They have a word in the East, 'Karma'. The principle of spiritual cause and effect. Effectively that you get whats coming to you down the road. We Catholics have the same kind of belief I think. Even though we may be forgiven for our sins that the temporal effects of the harm we do, the sins we commit can still come up and bite us in the ass. Karma. You get what's coming to you. In the case of Joe Biden his great hunger was for power and he spent his whole life trying to get it. Then at the very moment he gets it it is taken away from him at the very moment when he wanted it so badly. Also at the very moment when he is at the very height of his power his poor old brain fails. On top of this the very people he trusted the most , his supposed trusted friends and allies turn on him and eat him like a pack of sharks. But I notice the Divine Justice, the Karma in all this, in very places he did the most wrong he gets the most hurt. Karma. This is not just about Justice it is a very great teaching/ learning moment for poor old Joe is he decides to seize it. Someone once said that all political careers end in failure. I think that is Karma too. Prayers for Joe. I hope his family don't just bundle him off to some Nursing Home. But I am afraid that's were he is heading. That's how Margaret Thatcher ended up. Karma. That's why I love the promises of Divine Mercy Sunday so much. It promises the withdrawal of temporal punishments for sin. Karma if you like. For a really big sinner like me that is a huge thing. I don't want to end up like poor old Joe.
I love that hymn in 'Oh Brother were art thou', it is so haunting and sad. People desperate for God with a great hunger and longing for something more. So dreamlike in the film.
Marxists make the mistake in thinking that there is no such thing as Original Sin. That we must change ourselves first rather than rushing around trying to change everybody else. It starts with me first. A bit like Jordan Petersen said about cleaning our own room first before trying to change everybody else. I think that is the key mistake of Socialists. They want to make a paradise on Earth. A bit like the building of the Tower of Babel. But as Jesus said , 'The poor you will always have with you'. There is no magic fix. There just isn't. Government works best when it is humble and keeps its distance. But who has ever heard of a humble Government?
Pope St John Paul was a very holy saint and a man of genius and vision . I would not want to judge him. But he did some things which I would not be too comfortable in doing myself personally. It is true we must show love to those of other religions but at the same time I think its good to keep a lot of clear blue deep water between them and us in some respects. The Early Christians did this as we can see in Acts and the Writings of the Church Fathers. I think this was very wise. We can love people and yet still acknowledge we walk very,very,very different paths.
Yes, Divine Mercy Sunday, indulgences and, if possible, an apostolic pardon with the Sacrament of Extreme Unction are all resources we can be grateful for. His party might not be finished with him yet. They've probably been negotiating to get him to pull out of the race but that may not have been enough for them. They've probably already chosen Kamala's running mate and want to present what they will call the ideal ticket at the party's convention. Everyone knows that Kamala is a thick as a brick but that doesn't matter to voters who only see skin colour and gender. And if they choose a popular running mate, the rest of the voters can be assured that there are brains n the ticket. All they need then is for the media and celebrities to hail it as an end to old white men running America into the ground. People fall for that tripe. So, the show goes on irrespective of who gets elected. I would be very surprised if a chunk of influential Republicans weren't disappointed that thr bullet missed Trump. Best to let the political road show roll on and concentrate on what really matters. Joe still has time to get himself right with God. I'll say a prayer that he does. We probably all have sins that we don't face up to. That our unacknowledged sins don't cost millions of lives doesn't make them good. A thorough examination of conscience is essential for everyone while we still have the chance to repent.
