I've no doubt that there an agenda:
Did you know, the head man of the HSE used to be the head man of the Irish family planning association. He was very forceful in support for abortion while head of the IFPA.

Absolutely. There is a very strong agenda in the Irish mainstream media aswell, in every aspect. No doubt they are all connected some how.

You know, as insane as this is going to sound, and it does sound insane, but it is my honest, heart felt belief, that while in 2014 they ridicule and mock pro lifers, pro traditional marriage people, in 2024 or 2034, they will arrest us or worse.
It's astounding the speed at which the transformation of our society and inversion of beliefs and morals is taking place. I'm fully aware that I'm in a tiny minority in my beliefs, in my age range at least.
Watchng the public belief of my beliefs eroding inch by inch almost daily, reminds me if this tragic poem:

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

I think the stark truth is before the Irish people 'do you want baby's killed' This baby is alive and they want it dead. I think the Irish people need to wake up and smell the coffee. I watched Vincent Browne tonight and Cora Sherlock of pro life was one lone voice against the deluge of voices calling for full abortion including let the baby die if delivered alive.
How is it better for the baby to be dead. The woman didnt want to be pregnant and she is no longer but the baby survived.
Keep praying for the unborn and the conversion of the leaders of our country.

I think the only thing wrong with your hypothesis is the time frame - I don't believe it will take as long as 10 or 20 years, I think we are looking at being persecuted/imprisoned within a very few years from now.

12 months ago I was so angry - and had been for at least the previous 8 or 9 months as I saw the country roll over and beg for abortion.

Now it all just seems so inevitable - I see the recent campaign rise up again, but this year I feel more inclined to leave it in God's hands. My anger did so little.

I think I will try to meet some of my local TD's re the recent developments and raise my concerns.
But I feel calmer accepting that it will all get much worse, rather than thinking I will make a material difference in this regard.

    Pray, trust, don't worry...

Oh Mary, mother of the life within,
All life we entrust to you.
The life of every expectant mother
and the child within her womb.
The life of every human body,
The life of every human soul,
The life of every newborn child,
The life of all grown old.
You held the Lord to your own heart,
and drew Him so close in,
So draw us now in all our needs,
Oh Mother of the life within.

So evil wants to tell men to just hush up and "know our place". If you can't win the argument, just tell your opponent to hush up. Good gravy that's a pretty weak argument, but sadly some may be brow beaten into silence.

I'll never forget seeing on the TV that the supreme court of America had ruled in favor of abortion - I was a teenager with little faith, but I was just overcome with anger, and told my mother, "I no longer have any trust in this government if they allow the killing of innocent babies." Sometimes I fret that I haven't done more to stop it.

I think the important thing is to prayerfully seek direction for what you, as an individual, are called to do. Then do it.

We are embarking on the bloodiest of battles - and will only remain at peace in the will of God, doing what we are called to do.
