The doctors said they had a new procedure where they put heart stents in the brain to open up the arteries, but there was no guarantee of improvement and in my case, a 1 in 5 chance of not waking up. A traditional priest of the Pittsburgh diocese anointed me using the old Latin rite, and, following placement of two heart stents in my brain and months of intensive inpatient and outpatient therapy, I was able to start moving my left side again. I’ve subsequently had a full physical recovery. My mom was in a hospital in Pittsburgh 9 years ago with severe CHF. She needed a quintuple bypass and aortic heart valve replacement. She was on total life support already as they wheeled her into the OR and was still on life support for two weeks following her bypass. Because her heart had failed completely prior to the bypass, her kidneys received no blood perfusion and failed completely. She was on bedside dialysis daily after the surgery. Wonderful! Sometimes when I'm really badly sick or having debilitating back pain, my husband will anoint me with one of the holy oils that we have, and pray over me. It always helps, without fail, and it once caused a very serious sickness to retreat pretty much immediately.
