This has been discussed extensively here I know but I find this new video a good summary of what we know.

Ferrara actually lists 17 reasons why we didn’t get the whole thing!

    Highly recommended.

    This was very good.
St. Francisco only saw the visions and never heard what Our Lady said, so if She gave no explanation for the 3rd secret She wouldn’t have said tell no one except Francisco. You probably know this already.

The Third Secret was in two parts - the vision (released) and a 25 line explanation.

In her Fourth Memoir, Sister Lucia implicitly disclosed part of the Third Secret in a sentence of substantial importance: “In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved, etc.”

The other 24 lines - I would love to know please!!

But with the Synod on Synods coming I think we can all see the hostile takeover. We are in an emergency situation - the lights are going out all over the world and soon the light will be leaving the Church. The sanctuary lights may well be going out.

But we can keep the flames of light & faith going in our own homes through faithful devotion to the Rosary.

    Good point.

I had actually forgotten that Francisco never heard Our Lady.

    Yes very good point Carol!
Sr Lucia was instructed by Our Lady to tell Francisco what Our Lady said, even though he had also seen the vision.
This point needs to be asked of the church hierarchy, i.e. those that are privy to the full 3rd secret but deny the existence of an explanation.

I read recently that Malachi Martin once told a caller in one of his interviews that if he wanted to know more about the third secret he should look up the painting of Sister Lucias vision at Tuy.

I don’t know if this is true and would love someone to confirm but the painting is simply breathtaking:

I love that painting too but see that there are different versions. I have a photo of this one below at home and the details are not the same as the one you posted Blizzard. for instance, our Lady is wearing a ball on a chain in the one below, but not that I can see in the one you shared. There are 6 candles on the altar in the photo above and something under the altar but not so in the one below. If the painting has signs for us to meditate on, we should be meditating on the one that truly corresponds to Lucia's vision. But which one is it?

    Andree,

My tendency is to not be overly concerned with some of the minor differences such as the number of candles. I assume the depiction of the Blessed Trinity with the Precious Blood dripping into the Chalice, and Our Lady with her exposed Immaculate Heart, are the important elements.:):coffee:

  10. InVeritatem

    InVeritatem Archangels

I have an A4 size copy of the first image (not the one in the quote). The print is a bit fuzzy. However, it looks like Our Lady is holding a ball and chain in her left hand and a Rosary in her right hand. I can see 5 candles on the alter. Underneath the alter there are 3 supporting elements, 2 slabs in either side and a cubic block in the middle. There is an image on the front of the central block, but I cannot make it out - it's resolution is too poor.

However, if Malachi Martin said to "look up" the Tuy apparition of Sr. Lucia of 1944, I think he may have given a clue that the accompanying vision (and locution) of Sr. Lucy on that day in Tuy may be very important. And here is what Sr. Lucy said concerning her accompanying vision:

"I felt my spirit flooded by a light-filled mystery which is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of the flame-like lance which detaches, touches the axis of the earth and it [the earth] shakes: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, rivers and clouds leave their bounds, they overflow, flood and drag with them into a whirlpool, houses and people in a number unable to be counted; it is the purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in. Hatred, ambition, cause destructive wars" (Sr. Lucia, Tuy, 1944. See Sr. Lucia's official biography by the Carmelites of Coimbra - A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary)

So according to Malachi Martin, it seems, this is important if we want to know the contents of the 3rd Secret of Fatima. And it ties in with what St. Pope John Paul II said in Fulda in 1980 concerning the 3rd Secret:

The October 1981 issue of the German magazine Stimme des Glaubens reported on a discussion that Pope John Paul II had with a select group of German Catholics, in November of 1980 (verbatim report):

The Holy Father was asked, "What about the Third Secret of Fatima? Should it not have already been published by 1960?"
Pope John Paul II replied: "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves.
"On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired.".....

    https://fatima.org/about/the-third-secret/pope-john-paul-ii-in-fulda-germany-1980/

The Pope continued: “Many wish to know simply from curiosity and a taste for the sensational, but they forget that knowledge also implies responsibility. They only seek the satisfaction of their curiosity, and that is dangerous if at the same time they are not disposed to do something, and if they are convinced that it is impossible to do anything against evil.”

At this point the Pope grasped a Rosary and said: “Here is the remedy against this evil. Pray, pray, and ask for nothing more. Leave everything else to the Mother of God.”

The Holy Father was then asked: “What is going to happen to the Church?”

He answered: “We must prepare ourselves to suffer great trials before long, such as will demand of us a disposition to give up even life, and a total dedication to Christ and for Christ… With your and my prayer it is possible to mitigate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it, because only thus can the Church be effectively renewed. How many times has the renewal of the Church sprung from blood! This time, too, it will not be otherwise. We must be strong and prepared, and trust in Christ and His Mother, and be very, very assiduous in praying the Rosary.”'

Could Our Lady be holding a thurible for incense?

  12. InVeritatem

    InVeritatem Archangels

Yes AED, it is quite possible that it is a thurible. It appears to me now to be slightly too irregular shaped to be a ball. I suppose incense is traditionally a symbol for the the prayers of the faithful rising as a fragrant offering before the Throne of God.

I apologise however, I mistakenly associated the 1944 locution described in 'A pathway under the gaze of Mary' with the vision that Blizzard referred to in which Sr. Lucy saw the Holy Trinity and which gave rise to the painting under discussion. The former locution of Sr. Lucy was in Tuy in 1944, I think, whereas the latter vision was in Tuy in 1929. I will edit or delete this part of the post.

So, it is not possible to say that Malachi Martin was pointing to this 1944 vision but to only to the 1929 one that Sr. Lucy had. Sorry for the confusion. I would like to know more about the 1944 vision of Sr. Lucy but I do not have the book, A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary.

Nevertheless, as it pertains to the 3rd Secret, this 1944 vision of Sr. Lucy still supports the statement of Pope St. John Paul II in suggesting that major, global (but conditional) disasters may be part of the undisclosed part of the Secret. Many of us suspect that another part of the undisclosed part of the secret has got to do with apostacy within the Church.

I cannot confirm or deny whether Malachi said this to a caller in one of his interviews.

Personally, I have not meditated on this image, but from the outset I cannot see what I might expect to see concerning, from my own predjudicial viewpoint, chastisements or apostacy in the undisclosed part of the 3rd Secret. Nevertheless, with the intention of aiding a proper meditation on this image, I enclose a description of the image in question which I found in a document by an Irish prayer community called, 'An Teaghlach Naofa' (The Holy Family). The text in bold is Sr. Lucy's words which I presume comes from one of her memoirs:

    Grace and Mercy
On Thursday 13 June 1929, Sister Lucia was making a Holy Hour from 11 p.m to midnight in the convent chapel in Tuy, Spain. The chaplet lit up with a supernatural light and she had a vision of The Holy Trinity, above the altar. The date was the twelfth anniversary of the second apparition of Our Lady of The Rosary, in Fatima.
    Lucia said,
“Suddenly the whole chapel lit up with a supernatural light and above the altar appeared a cross of light reaching the ceiling. In a brighter light on the upper part of the cross could be seen the face of a man and his body as far as the waist, upon His breast was a dove, also of light, and nailed to the cross was the body of another man. A little below the waist I could see a chalice and a large host suspended in the air. Drops of blood were falling from the face of Jesus crucified and from the wound in His side. These drops ran down onto the host and into the chalice. Beneath the right arm of the cross was Our Lady. It was Our Lady of Fatima with her Immaculate Heart, without sword or roses, but with a crown of thorns and flames. Under the left arm of the cross were large letters, as if of crystal water which ran down upon the altar and formed the words ‘Grace and Mercy’. I understood that it was the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity”.

The vision is also linked to the third apparition of the Angel of Fatima in Autumn 1916. Lucia was first taught how to adore the Holy Trinity and pray in reparation to the hearts of Jesus and Mary, when she was 9 years old. The Angel of Portugal appeared to Lucia and St. Francisco and St. Jacinta, holding a chalice, with a Host suspended in the air above it, from which drops of blood fell into it. The Angel knelt with his face to the ground and prayed: “Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the Infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners”. Then the Angel said, “Take and drink the Body and Blood of Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men. Make reparation for their crimes and console your God”.

I have a theory about this. Could it be that Mary never allowing Francisco to hear her was a foreshadowing of the future to come, in which we would never actually get to hear the message due to too much sin--on our part and that of the Church hierarchy?

My knowledge of the details of Fatima are weak and I can't keep straight things like the dates of publications of visions, secrets etc. Also I have no clue when the paintings were made nor by whom, but the details are important in a vision - how could anything that comes from God not be important?

It came to me at mass the other day that the differences in the altar & candlelabras represent the different masses (traditional at time of the vision vs NO today) and that perhaps someone painted a second version to put the NO mass in the vision. However Sr Lucy saw darkness everywhere except around the Sacrifice at the altar which inlcudes the Trinity and Our Lady and that this was going on during the time of the traditional mass. When I saw that painting that Blizzard posted, the object under the altar immediately brought to mind the martyrs under the altar crying out for justice but I never got that sense from meditating on the image that I have at home. In both paintings, that star of Esther on Our Lady's robe is lit which I believe points to the book of Esther. The three days of prayer and fasting asked of the people by Esther before she approached the King always makes me think of Our Lady of Medjugorje and how She is asking for the exact same thing to help Her intercede for us. Our Lady appearing above the altar in the light of the Holy Trinity makes Her a part of the light and eternal sacrifice which is also in the book of Revelation.

About that ball on a chain, it could be a thurible (good one AED!) but on such a short chain? It does seem like the right explanation and I can't see what else it could be.

I heard a seer (Sulema) say that meditating on this image is important because of the signs in it and she promotes the painting that I posted above, not Blizzard's version.

I think this last apparition has to do with the final words “Like the King of France….” below which I found below:

    God Bless!

Sister Lucia describes this great Vision of the Holy Trinity:

Being alone one night, I knelt near the rails in the middle of the chapel and, prostrate, I prayed the prayers of the Angel. Feeling tried, I then stood up and continued to say the prayers with my arms in the form of a cross.
The only light was that of the sanctuary lamp.
Suddenly the whole chapel was illumined by supernatural light, and above the alter appeared a cross of light, reaching to the ceiling. In a brighter light at the upper part of the cross, could be seen the face of a Man and his body as far as the waist; upon his breast was dove of light; nailed to the cross was the body of another man. A little below the waist, I could see a chalice and a large host suspended in the air, on to which drops of blood were falling from the face of Jesus Crucified and from the wound in His side. These drops ran down on to the host and fell into the chalice. Beneath the right arm of the cross was Our Lady and in her hand was her Immaculate heart. (It was Our Lady of Fatima, with her Immaculate Heart in her left hand, without sword or roses, but with a crown of thorns and flames). Under the left arm of the cross, large letters, as if of crystal clear water which ran down upon the alter, formed these words:
    «Grace and Mercy.»

I understood that it was the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity which was shown to me, and I received lights about this mystery which I am not permitted to reveal.

Our Lady then said to me:
«The moment has come in which God asks the Holy Father, in union with all the Bishops of the world, to make the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, promising to save it by this means. There are so many souls whom the Justice of God condemns for sins committed against me, that I have come to ask reparation: sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray.»

I gave an account of this to the confessor, who ordered me to write down what Our Lady wanted done.

Later, in an inimate communication. Our Lord complained to me saying:
    «They did not wish to heed my request. Like the King of France, they will repent and do it, but it will be late. Russia will have already spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars, and persecutions of the Church;
the Holy Father will have much to suffer.»

    Hi Blizzard,

Yes Fr Malachi did say that, I heard him say it recently, I was listening to a recording (of an Art Bell show ? Or ? ) on youtube. I cannot say which one it was though. I felt abit peturbed
when I heard him say it, because I knew of the image concerned but I could not see the clues in it.
