I'm reading a trilogy of little novels at the moment by an English Catholic lady, available on Amazon and very cheap. The first of them is called, ' A truthful man'. I don't usually read novels nowadays as I prefer books that help prayer and lead directly to God. St Therese of Liseaux for instance said that towards the end she read only the Bible and The imitation of Christ (which is, after all just a patchwork of scriptures.) But these novels are so interesting and Catholic and quite spiritual. They basically centred around a Catholic priest who is cancelled by his Bishop for teaching the Catholic Faith and events surrounding it. To my surprise I am enjoying them and am on my last one.
The lady's name is Hillary Walker. Maybe not great literature, but a good simple story. Very Catholic and spiritual
