Fallen Saint, thats a nice reflection.. see what I did there hehe. You're a sweet beautiful soul.. perhaps you are a saint! God bless!
Fallen Saint, nice one!!! Bless your joyful soul. My mirror is so blurry...needs a lot of cleaning up. May God help me. I remember, i had really wished to be one about 25 years ago but then I wandered way off. Getting back in track, i hope I could catch up and see the clearer vision of God's purpose in me. I affirm my priest confessor that I have a mission.
Sadly my mirror shows me just as I am. Very clearly. No blurs. No streaks. My two great enemies, mirrors and scales. My old mum, God love her, said I went bald cause I spent to much time looking in the mirror and brushing my hair.
Lol , same here . Sins of vanity went down the plug hole as quickly as my hair ,in my thirties . And I love having little hair now.
So...like it or not, you are all saints. If you are not a saint then you are going to the other place. So, if you agree with this statement then at least everyone here... SHOULD be a saint. So this is a little thought that might help us grow in sainthood. In my country, restaurants have large floor sinks...for water to flow out when cleaning. These floor sinks are 12 inches by 12 inches wide. They also go about 12 inches down. There is a screen to capture all the garbage, so it doesnt go in the drain system. The larger amount of trash...the less amount of water can flow threw. We have this type of system in us. This drain screen captures all our garbage (sin). When we are young the drain is clear and water (grace) flows freely. As we grow older garbage begins to grow and slows the water (grace) from flowing threw us. The garbage (sin) can be so filled that only a drop of water (grace) can get threw. Even though we have garbage in our drain...water still flows through gradually. If we go and clean it out (taking out the garbage [sin]). Then water (grace) starts to flow actively again. Taking out the garbage is called confession. So once we understand that sin is blocking Gods flow of graces. Confession becomes a part of our life. But, even going to confession doesn't totally clean the drain. We need to scrub all the dirty excess to purify the water, so that even the residual has been cleaned. That scrubbing is...acts of contrition and sacrifices. Our goal is to clear our drain...so grace flows threw us and out to the world. Just a little thought for your day. Maybe it will get some-one to go clean their drain. Brother al
Remember what one Desert Father said, all generations have faced the red dragon tethered and tied down but those at the end of time will face him fully loosed over the face of the earth even if it is just for a short while. This is what will make us the greatest saints who have walked the face of the earth. Like the kings and queens that come out at the end of the chess game so we too are the special kings and queens that come out at the end to do battle with the dragon. Yes, we are small, feeble, and frail, but power is made perfect in weakness for when we are weak, God is strong or as St. Paul says, “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Cor. 12:10) May Gods Will be done
