I was drawn this morning to read the Holy Scripture and read the Book Of Hosea. It's not long and I suggest if you can find some quiet time, read it and reflect upon what has happened today in Ireland, what will happen next month in the U.S. and really what has already happened in most if the so called developed world of the West. It's still a "love story". God like any parent is hurt and angry, but HE still loves us. Is it time to run for the hills ? I often wondered why at Akita it was said about 70% of the population would be wiped out if God is obliged to chastise the word. It appears about 70% of the Irish population have voted for Sodom and Gomorrah. Coincidence ? You know today is the eve of the Feast of the Holy Spirit. Could that also be a wake up call to us. Which spirit holds sway over Ireland. God protect and preserve us all.
I suppose each of us will make a choice, but in the end God has the exact right plan for each of us. For me, it's a bit of an inward turn toward prayer, reflection, and reconciliation with God because I'm a great sinner. I want to get "right" with God, not just for myself so that I can be a sign of hope and love and peace to my family, friends and neighbors. I can't do anything about the "world", but with God's grace and His Holy Spirit, I hope to be spiritual strength to those immediately around me. This world is fleeting rapidly and always in a sense has. We need to have our eyes and hearts now set above - on the eternal things. Peace Julia. Remember Jesus Christ is King of the Universe.

I seem to be quoting my 86 year old mum quite a lot these days. In her days of counselling women on abortion she found it very hard to maintain a position where she neither condoned nor condemned. When her God-son came out to her she told him she did not approve but would always love him and welcone him in her home. He would always be her David. But I also remember her saying to me at another time that she thought homosexuality was the most corrupting influence in the world. I wonder if she still thinks this. I doubt it. Even the older generation have been seduced by the outlook of the 'less judgmental' generation. I started to talk about this with her last night but it was too heavy. The one rule followers of Satan obey is "do your own will " the exact opposite of "do God's will." Self -centered and selfish attitudes have always accompanied moral decline and the disintegration of empires and powers...Egypt, Greece, Rome, Etc. Just so the failing faith of nations, families and individuals accompanies their destruction. In my own family I have members who no longer believe that missing Mass on Sunday is a mortal sin, who no longer believe in the real presence and who support homosexual pairing. Now let me be clear, my darling old mum is no Satanist even on a bad day but Satan must be very clever to have fooled even the like of her. In her own words, "It is very hard to commit a mortal sin." According to her mortal sin depends on what we believe...as if we can change the rules to suit our feelings. This is the insudious nature of evil at work, even in the souls of good people. Once again it comes down to obedience. "If you love me, keep my word." And the interpretation of that word has been entrusted to Peter and his successors. We were given pure gold in the first flush of love from the church. I believe this purity will be maintained but it looks like it is about to undergo trial by fire. The great apostasy approaches. Oh Lord - how are we to raise children of God in such a corrupt culture? Come, Lord Jesus, Come to our aid for the sake of the children. At least Roscommon & South Leitrim (red) will be safe from the coming chastisement! Ireland has rejected God and His Law. How can we expect God's blessing and protection as a nation? Repentance and reparation necessary. God wins in the end.
Over 20 years ago I used to pray with a small group of men once per week early in the morning to intercede for our nation and for blessing on our families. My friend Patrick was a pharmacist but felt deeply uncomfortable with the way pharmacy was going and as he refused to dispense the morning after pill he found it hard to get a job and ended up being unemployed for a few years. Eventually he ended up working for pro-life group HLI Ireland and is now executive director. Anyway, one morning as we prayed I got a prophecy from the Holy Spirit and prayed over Patrick for God's blessing and I was moved to say that God was going to raise Patrick up as a prophet one day to the nation of Ireland. I always remembered that prayer because the words were so powerful - today we see the fruit of our prayer together. Patrick was quoted today in the Irish Times Newspaper concerning the same sex marriage referendum (the most influential paper in Ireland but unfortunately with a liberal, secular outlook). He said the following: ‘God’s law’ Patrick McCrystal, director of Human Life International -Ireland, has said the marriage referendum was “about whether or not the Irish people accept God’s law and, irrespective of the outcome, the law of God remains immutable”. He said that former president Mary McAleese “has missed the point”. “The Catholic church teaches the sexual conjugal act is the exclusive preserve of man and woman as husband and wife; it is an act designed by God to be exercised by no one else . . . Premarital acts, extramarital acts, heterosexual, homosexual, solitary acts or with others - all seriously jeopardise the eternal welfare God created us for, to enjoy with him in heaven.” He said that everyone “is called to chaste self-mastery, according to their state; married or single, heterosexual or homosexual. There is no discrimination in this statement”. “We shouldn’t even be having this referendum. If we, as an Irish nation, chose to accept the amendment, we turn away from God and his laws. We seriously dissolve any claim we have to expect God’s blessing and protection as a nation. When talking to faithful friends today tge thought came to me thatnthis is part of that final separation of wheat and darnel - even though it seems that this is a S_tan driven agenda, God is in control, and this referendum was a pretty fair way to establish what is wheat, what is darnel. Even though i get some comfort in this thought I still cried over my contribution to this Yes success - My unwillingness to speak out for No, my acquiescence to the pervasive culture of permissiveness, my inadequate prayers... God forgive me.

We didn't get this victory but your prayers won grace for someone and one day God willing we get to see the fruits. Western culture is in its final hour ,but God has is Day! offer your broken heart to the Lord , its all any of us can do for now
There is something else we can do. Lets start calling lust, what it is... lust. I keep hearing people talking about love as if it was an umbrella for every perversity known to man. Look up what Saint Paul teaches us as to what LOVE is. Let us reclaim LOVE in the true sense of the WORD. And shout it from the rooftops. Sorry Jesus, I needed to share this.
