The hole has moved ever so slightly from it position yesterday. For it to hit us with full force, it would need to move to exactly the center of the disk. Right now all the "wind" from it is not earth directed and is giving us a glancing blow. An amazing sight.
Amazing stuff Torrentum, fascinating, could the brilliant Auroras be a sign of blood that will be shed.

I keep thinking of those who have 1:11 popping up. 1/11/2015 is the feast of the baptism of the Lord, and the end of the Christmas season. Could the illumination be this close??? Time to hit the confessional...
kathy, it happened to me twice today. 11:11 this morning and again at 1:11 this afternoon. I am not a clock watcher but both times today? no such thing as a coincidence. and how about this, I need a confession and already have plans to make confession this Saturday as I had to do the folded arms walk of shame the last 2 Sacraments at Mass and do not want to miss this Sunday but that is a very interesting thought about 1/11
Amen on hitting the confessional. I've been getting "prodded" to go including a dream. In the dream I was confessing to the priest who prepared me for the sacrament and who has since passed away. As I began my confession, I noticed it was him (Father Reid) and burst into tears. I had a great amount of love and respect for that man. I know he is in heaven and prompting me to go!
Oh no....you guys are giving me severe flashbacks with the 11:11 thing and not in a good way. I was a moderator of a new age board all about 11:11 for years. I would see 11:11 all the time and got into meditation and trying to contact the beings behind this phenomenon. They were/are wonderful, loving people but believed that 11:11 was a prompt from spiritual beings and their leader was Christ Michael but we knew him as Jesus here on Earth but his name is Michael in creation. They were heavily tied to the Urantia book and I was too for about 7 years until I came back home to the church in 2013. They were pretty severe Catholic and religious dogma haters though and many had Catholic backgrounds like myself. I never was a hater though but that part of their beliefs always troubled me.
I was hesitating about posting this, but thought it best to put out there just how warped some of the thinking is today. This poor soul is so lost. He also had a completely wrong view of Christianity, (although I'm not sure 7th a Day Adventist is "Christian "). Too bad he did not connect to a good Catholic who could have grounded him in our solid theology. I find this just really sad. http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/08/opinion/bell-god-atheism/index.html
Poor guy. He was looking for something tangible and found nothing. Now that he gave up God he feels he found happiness. Talk about diabolical disorientation! I recall when I was lost in my early 20's, I found God in a whole new light in hearing for the first time the story of Fatima (thus my avatar). I was set on fire for learning all I could about this rich Catholic faith of mine that alothough I was raised by good Catholic parents, good brothers and sisters and in a Catholic school I new nothing about how God is active, really active, in his Catholic Church. I could not read enough. I had never heard of Marian apparitions, mystics, stigmatists, locutionists, incorruptibles, Eucharistic miracles etc.... I thought what! Are you kidding me! How come I was never taught these heavenly manifestations of faith actions that have always and continue to take place???? 30 years later I am still pumped about learnig how close our God and His Blessed mother, the angles and the saints are to us in the smallest details of our life. Not only does learning give my life value after life here on earth, but it gives everything I do purpose. It gives me hope when the world is hopeless, it gives suffering meaning, it gives intamacy with God a whole new understanding, it gives an internal peace and joy that the world can never know. This poor guy new he was confused and then went in search of his confusion within the world who's master is none other than Satan. And he thinks he found his true end in whatever the world can give him
Thanks for posting this Miker. Interesting article. I find it very sad also. I can, in a small way, understand anybody who loses their faith. I never lost my belief in the supernatural, but got deceived by the new age for 5 or 6 years. Perhaps this pastor will return to the faith, stronger for this time of unbelief. The prodigal son story tells us: Lk 15:13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living." I love Luke's use of the phrase "distant country", showed how far the prodigal son stayed from the true path. Only last Christmas, our local priest prayed that we should cherish and nurture the small seed of faith we all have. We should pray for this pastor.
This story of the pastor reminds me is another sad story about loss of faith. A Jewish rabbi was in a concentration camp during the war. He watched his friends being taken day after day to the gas chambers. After a few months his turn came. As he walked naked down the path that was lined with soldiers towards the entrance of the chamber, he looked at his friend, and said "This cannot continue, God will intervene before we reach the entrance of the chamber and save us." Upon reaching the doorway of the chamber, he turned to his friend and said "There is no God". He went to his death. Nobody knows if he, in his last moments, repented.
Pastor Bell would do well to read about how Mother Theresa said she felt silence and spiritual coldness for most of her adult life. Amazing faith.
This is the usual clap trap, and in my view, it all based on the same assumption ... that the individual is owed something (its all about me, after all). Meaning, as he defines it, is subjective. So if the meaning of life is simply something we arbitrarily decide to construct (the human ego thrives on this), then there is nothing objective to rely on such as truth, morality or meaning. It also means there is no sin. Review this wording: "Life does not need a divine source in order to be meaningful. Anyone who has seen a breathtaking sunset or fallen in love with another human being knows that we make meaning from the experiences of our lives; we construct it the way we construct any social narrative. Free from false expectations we are free to create purpose, share love, and enjoy the endless beauty of our world. We are the fortunate ones. There is no need for fear to have the last word." Pontius Pilate was equally confused when he asked: What is Truth?
