Thanks for your response, Verne. I will offer you my thoughts on this, since you asked for them, and you don't have to respond here, it is up to you. I offer you what I see for you to ponder if you so wish. First I would ask you, do you have a spiritual director? This should be very important to be able to confirm and discern the words you say you receive. Second, if the words received "flee Sodom and Gomorrah" were truly words from God, then you probably don't want to rationalize them but to OBEY them. This line that you wrote, Verne, is not necessarily true at all. It might be true ALWAYS in the spiritual sense, but not necessarily in the material or physical sense, and much less if you've got a warning to flee a place. Then it is up to you to obey in humility. God WILL NOT PROTECT US FROM DISASTER ALWAYS. God didn't protect Jesus, or the martyrs of twenty centuries. God did protect the Jesuits in Hiroshima, probably for God's good reasons -as a clear message of the importance of living out the messages of Our Blessed MOther. But to assume that God will protect you and your family, anyway, from whatever disaster comes your way, might be reckless IF you have truly received a personal warning about fleeing. Trust, yes, but with OBEDIENCE. This is the way to be safe with God. Now if you are not certain of the origin of the words received after Holy Communion, then it is fair that you go by your reasoning in your reflection. But that means that you trust God over and beyond what the outcome of things might be for you and your family, not because you take for granted that disaster is not going to hit you. I offer this for your reflection because we are heading towards very difficult times. And although it is true that there are many promises of miracles and protection, there are also clear statements that the good will be taken together with the evil ones. We need to be aware of this and make our decisions based on truth, not on ideals. Also, trusting God is not about counting on being taken down from the Cross or spared the Cross -whatever color it has for us- but trusting God is about TRUST IN SPITE OF, like Job says, "Even if you kill me I will trust in You" Job 13:15

This does not mean that those under His protection will not suffer or be persecuted. It means that nothing can touch you that is not permmited by God for a greater good, thus you are under his protection from the evil one doing what he wants. I suggest everyone to read his full messages and you will see that God is indeed speaking to Verne IMHO.
Thanks for the clarification, Fatima. I'm only talking about the two last messages that Verne posted here. Certainly we are utterly safe in God's Hand, no matter what happens, and He will protect us from the evil one if we allow God to protect us -that is if we consent, want His protection. No doubt about that. Maybe I took too literally the words "flee Sodom and Gomorrah" and it was not meant in a literal way. That will be for Verne to discern. And since he asked for opinion I dared to give mine. As I mentioned in my first response to Verne, I had just read the message about the sinful city to be purified under water. So if my comment was out of place, Verne, I apologize and please, forget it.
My immediate response to Verne's question was the same as yours. I thought of the sweet evangelical Christian woman who told me that God woke her up from sleep and told her to get out of New Orleans. It was the night before the first levy failed. I said, "So, you got out of bed and got out of town?" She said, "No. I should have. Spent some time on my roof, and weeks in that awful superdome. Should have listened. But isn't God good to take care of me like that?" If I got a message to flee, I would carefully discern it (quickly!), and I pray that I would have the courage to act.

I have had problems with some of those sins. I also think God was warning me not to look back and return to those sins. I think remember lots wife is important. She looked back and remember what happened. Thanks for all your replies, it gives me much to . ponder. Also, i think God sometimes gives us personal messages because he knows we have struggles,he wants to help us and remind us he cares about all our problems and answers our prayers .
Kathy, Eight years ago in prayer our Lord told me to 'get off the coast'. I did, with my husband and three children. It took tons of trust and a lot of tears and still to this day I wonder if I was right to do it. I left behind my other kids and grandkids and their families and our friends. Moving at 45 sucks! Now I'm 53 and it still sucks. No one wants to come visit us in Montana! But, now I know others who our Lord called away from the coast also. It wasn't a matter for me to discern. I told God that if this was of him that he had to move my husband's heart, because he was not on the same page spiritually with me and it was going to take a miracle. Well,,,by jove--He did it! That should be miracle enough! Some days my mind gets going and I think, "If my children and grandchildren are going to die on the coast Lord, I want to be there with them! Please!" Then it comes to me that MAYBE...its not all ME,ME,ME.... maybe, its one of the children I brought with me who now likes Montana...and wants to be a priest, or the other one who is an incredible problem solver and lover of humanity.... or maybe those on the coast will come here....who knows. Fatima, It has been awhile, I think it was 2008, Our Lord asked people to pray specific prayers and offerings for the mitigation, alleviation of a natural cloud over a U.S. city. It was in a message to Anna Marie of the Green Scapular. I thought a volcano but I am not sure geographically of a volcano near a city in our country. I see by your Yellowstone list, closeness of a city to the volcano doesn't make it false.

I do not know how to paste messages from websites. But I have not reread the book gswyl for years, but today I opened it and read 08/15/07 and was blown away with what I read. Thanks for all your prayers. One thing for sure I cannot believe it was myself that wrote down those words. I know I today would not be able to do such a thing. God sure works in mysterious ways.
