On the 13 March 2014, astronomers in Brazil discovered a comet. Dates of interest in the life of any comet would be a) The date of the comet's discovery and, b) the date of the comet's closest approach to the earth/sun. The comet will be closest to the Earth (perigee) on August 28th, in the constellation Cephus, after spending much of the previous weeks in Cassiopeia. I've absolutely no belief in coincidence. Nothing happens for nothing. This comet has been orbiting for ages, in the outer parts of the solar system. It made its journey to the inner part of the solar system (our neighbourhood), now, not last year, or 5000 years ago, but now. Nothing happens for nothing. This comet is interesting for the following reasons: (for the following coincidences): 1. On the 13 March 2014, the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR) announced that they will bring a second case challenging Ireland’s restrictive abortion laws to the UN Human Rights Committee - the same day of the comets discovery, 2. On August 28th the comet will be closest to Earth. This day is the feast day of saint Augustine. He lived a lose life but completely converted, meaning a situation is never hopeless, especially when somebody is praying for you (as his mother, St Monica, prayed for his conversion) 3. The comet is green. While not unheard of, green comets are rare enough, could the appearance of this comet be a big sign in the heavens for Ireland to step back from following other countries and ushering in the murder of the unborn on demand? 4. Incidentally, Cassiopeia, the constellation that will host the comet in the run up to its closest passage by earth, was a vain and arrogant woman. She was, as was her husband Cephus, tempted at some point to sacrifice their own daughter to save her country (from flooding, as it happens). 5. An interesting little detail is the name of the comet "Comet Jacques". Jacques is the French form of Jacob. Jacob was born (born!) holding his twin brother Esau's heel, and his name is explained as meaning "holder of the heel". Other theories claim that the name means "may God protect". May God protect the unborn? It's also interesting to note that as one website put it "Wow! Comet Jacques cuts between the Heart and Soul Nebulae in Cassiopeia on August 19th." Comet Jacques cut through the Heart Nebula and the Soul Nebula. Usually, in astronomically affectionate terms, the two Nebulae are called the "Heart and Soul" nebulae. The alignment of details in the appearance of this faint, obscure comet is fascinating. And, just like the Gospel recently, God doesn't speak by moving mountains, or trumpets, but rather whispers, like a faint breeze, or perhaps, a faint green comet.. Pray hard for abortion to be chased away from Ireland's shores. St Patrick, pray for us.
Wow Torrentum that is great, I don't want to change direction here too much but wanted to get this off my chest earlier so this seems like a suitable thread. Sinead O'Connor is a huge proponent of abortion in Ireland. She wrote an obscene and vulgar article for the Irish Independent yesterday. View attachment 2190 http://www.independent.ie/opinion/w...nd-a-second-republic-of-ireland-30531673.html Some of her ridiculous language. She is very vocal very angry and very dangerous but how can most people take her seriously based on her many problems, addictions and constant changing of beliefs. Its a pity someone so talented is so messed up. Needs prayer. Again thanks Torrentum, your original post gives much hope.
I was deeply saddened recently at the reaction of the pro abortion groups to the C section news. They seemed enraged that the baby was not aborted (!). I'll never understand their point of view. The darkness of abortion against the light of life - they're incompatible with each other. Ireland has a decision to make now - follow the rest of Europe over the cliff of abortion or preserve the dogma of the Faith, and respect for human life. Acceptance of abortion now will lead to acceptance of euthanasia by the end of the third decade of this Century. Will they even bother treating me if I get sick in my old age? ALL my hopes are pinned on the illumination of conscience now. As one priest said on EWTN years ago "Nothing but a miracle will stop abortion"
