There are non-Catholic Christians who dismiss Mary's apparitions using 2 Corinthians 11:14. Two questions for Catholics related to the same verse. How can Medjugorje be false with testimony of miraculous healings? Can Satan bring about the physical healing of a person? I don't think so plus wouldn't he be fighting himself, such an act and witness of it increases a person's faith.
If I am correct, satan can do healings, however, they may not be lasting. Also, I think the content of messages relayed is more important: do the messages conform to the Church's teachings, do they adhere to teachings in the Gospels, etc.
Hi Thomas, thanks, you help, I thought all miraculous healings were from God. After reading of this happening at Medjugorje, I started to truly believe in Medjugorje. Very confusing, miracles are to increase our faith. I guess not false miracles. ???

One time at Lourdes, not long after the appartions he tried to appear as the blessed virgin at the Massbielle, right in the grotto were Mary herself appeared. It was before quite a large crowd but was very unclear by all accounts kind of white and fuzzy and out of sinc. It blinked out almost at once. The writer speculated that the devil hated Mary so much he couldn't even stand the bad copy he made and wiped it.
Hi Jackie, Fatima is correct, satan cannot perform miracles, but only tricks. Any "healings" from him are only deceptions and probably don't last. Please don't stop your belief in Med. as a result of my comment. I believe in Med. myself. Many, many wonderful things have resulted from Med. including healings, but to me the most important is the content of the messages -- they ring true to me and consistently so. Also, some members of this forum have been there and experienced it first hand. Listen to what they have to say (as I have).
