Noli Me Tangere - "Do not touch me".

"Noli Me Tangere is a large sculptural group located in the Alaleona Chapel of the church of Santi Domenico e Sisto in Rome. The chapel’s architectural framework was designed by the Italian artist Gianlorenzo Bernini, known as Le Bernin, and the sculpture itself was also designed by him. It shows Jesus responding to Mary Magdalene with the words “Do not touch me” when she recognizes him after his resurrection. The work was executed by Bernini’s pupil Antonio Raggi, probably between 1649 and 1652."

    From Totus Tuus Fb page:

St. John Paul II chose Totus Tuus as his episcopal motto when he was consecrated auxiliary bishop of Kraków in 1958, and he kept it throughout his life as a cardinal and as pope.

The Latin phrase, which means “Totally Yours,” comes from the prayer of consecration found in St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary: “Tuus totus ego sum, et omnia mea tua sunt” (“I am all yours, and all that I have is yours”).

For Karol Wojtyła, the words expressed far more than personal piety. He later explained that true devotion to Mary does not distance a person from Christ but draws them closer to Him. In Crossing the Threshold of Hope and in his apostolic letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae, he described Totus Tuus as a Christocentric act of belonging rooted in the mystery of the Blessed Trinity. Through Mary, who perfectly said yes to God, a Christian learns to belong entirely to Jesus.

The motto grew out of his own experience. During the years of the Nazi occupation and later under Communism, his Marian devotion deepened, and the writings of St. Louis de Montfort helped him see that consecration to the Mother of God is the surest path to union with her Son.

When he was elected pope in 1978, Totus Tuus remained the guiding principle of his pontificate—visible in his coat of arms, his teaching, and his constant invitation to entrust everything to Mary so that Christ might reign more fully in every heart.
