One way I have experienced deep inner healing many times over the years is to surrender my life to the Lord and unite my sufferings to his and for his specific intentions in his sufferings. He seemed to be able to heal me at a deeper level if I was able to connect with the pain of current or past sufferings, and to keep pressing them into his wounds, with my mind and intentions on consoling him and not on myself.
Exactly. Well said. I often tell Him I can only offer Him my sins and my sufferings. That’s all I have.
