I will dedicate my fast for you and your loved ones, especially that the Holy Spirit will replace discouragement with a hopeful and abiding joy!
What a beautiful reflection and every word is pure gold. I'm just catching up here PF and you are also in my prayers. I have known times of desolation but holding on to our Lady's hand brought me through everything. The pain and brokenness took time but looking back it was all for the good. Keep your heart up. You are an inspiration and one of God's warriors.
Met a friend at Mass this morning who prays for people with a Padre Pio first class relic. He prayed with me for you. St Padre Pio pray for us.
It is wonderful to see prayers answered like this. If it is any consolation I have found down the long years that trials , like storms tend to come and go. In other words they are passing. The sun comes out again. Although I admit when going through the mill it can be hard to believe this. Anyway more prayers. I heard the most lovely story from an old priest the other day. When he was a very young priest he was working as a Missionary in South America when an old lady came up for communion. She was crying her eyes out not from sadness but it looked like joy and emotion. Back in the sacristy he asked the Parish priest about her and he confirmed she had never cried like this before. Later on the same day the lady died suddenly and unexpectedly. The priest thought maybe she somehow knew that this was her last communion.
