I was just thinking this evening of the suffering of St Therese of Liseaux in the period leading right up to her death. There is a book called the Last Conversations of St Therese which contains the last kind of snap shots before her death. I don;t take away from the fact that her sufferings were incredibly intense but I was wondering if she ever got a break from them. A ray of light in the dark? I believe she did. Her sisters came to visit and this must have been a consolation in itself. She was looking forward to heaven ,another consolation. But it is very clear that the Good Lord had let her know that after her death she would be raised to the altars of the Church. Would be declared a saint. She also knew what incredible good would come of her sufferings and life. Another huge consolation
Have been struggling a bit lately in my walk. Grateful for this reflection yesterday. I believe it was Jeremiah who said create a heart of flesh to replace my heart of stone
You are in my rosary. Its ok to struggle I do plenty of times but know the solution is always in our Loving God, our creator, redeemer & sanctifier. Go easy on yourself as you have been through a lot your crosses have been huge. God bless you.
