The albatross is famous for being one of the birds with the greatest flight endurance. It can fly for up to ten months without touching land and hardly ever flaps its wings to do so. With a bit of poetic license, one could say that it is God who sustains its flight through the air.
I have seen parrots in Florida & Sri Lanka. Each time, I was truly delighted at that treat! I can't imagine where the association of an albatross to Christ came from.
