Keep in mind that this was shared by Steve Skojec, the founder of OnePeterFive, who unfortunately lost his faith a few years ago and now considers himself an agnostic.(n):(

He was a reliable authority on Fatima and its message. Many people leave the Church because they see only a caricature of it, but he understood the essence of what it means to be Catholic throughout the ages, including the existence of a faithful remnant. I find myself wondering, then, what ultimately led him to lose his faith. He did not even consider the Orthodox Church as a possible path, something many have done in light of the fruits of Vatican II.

Its a mystery. Is it St Paul or St Peter who said " many have gone from us because they were never part of us."
My sense is he gave in to bitterness but I have no way to know this. Just a sense.

From reading a lot about him and his own words, I think that he had gone too far down the path of criticism and condemnation. Too much of this leads to pride, unfortunately. Every single one of us is capable of falling away from faith through pride. Faith is a gift from God.

An FSSP priest did not want to baptize his newborn son because of his family's lack of Mass attendance? Can Catholic priests do that?

If he was already experiencing an internal crisis of faith, this was a huge push for him to leave the Church altogether. God can call people to their vocation from a very young age, but for that, the sacrament of Baptism, as the gateway, is necessary to impart initial grace. I may be mistaken, but I believe it was a serious mistake for that priest not to baptize Steve's son.

Perhaps God was looking for a response of meekness. A humble asking of the priest what he must do to get his son baptized.

  12. If Pastors ask you to do something, attend Mass more, attend a certain class etc., you do it or you walk away.
It is common here in USA, if a Priest doesn't see you often to ask you to attend Mass for a Month or 2 first.
I remember when this happened and it just seemed like steve was looking for
Public support on a private Church matter. Prayers for him.

I think there is an emphasis on flesh and blood throughout the entire process of salvation. Jesus sheds His blood on the cross for us and shows His glorified wounds in many of His apparitions. However, the popular and mystical imagination about aliens portrays them as beings that are biologically different from us; they do not have flesh and blood in the same way as Jesus, who was like us in all things except sin. I believe that one way people drift away from the mystery of the Incarnation is by focusing on the nature of beings that bear no resemblance to Christ and are supposedly free from any guilt or evil—thus, in a sense, suppressing the universal cosmology of the Fall, sin, and the need for a personal Savior.
