How did the Talmud know that the Temple lost its effect? Is it because their prayers were not being answered?

 

I read something awhile ago that has stuck with me. " the only safe place is in the Will of God."
And then I keep thinking of the movie Casablanca at the end. Captain Reynaud who has suddenly decided to become a patriot says to Rick: "I hope you know this isn't going to be pleasant for either of us."
I think we all know this isn't going to be pleasant for any of us but its like having the flu. You always feel better after the agony of finally throwing up. Pardon my rather icky metaphor....

 

God grants us the graces for the things we might face, not for the things we imagine we might face. This is what happens when I worry, fighting imaginary dragons on my own.

Not too long ago, Geralyn and I booked flights to visit our son, Christopher, and his family the 1st week in June. Will we be able to see them ?

 

I think so.
There will be some disruption to air travel due to shortages but it is hard to quantify.

 

According to the Talmud, the sacrifices in the Temple caused tapers used by the priests to change colour from red to white. This stopped forty years before the destruction of the Temple. A few years ago I did a google search about it and received replies from Jews confirming the Talmud, but blaming the Christians of the time, because of their lack of faith in the sacrifice! I first learned about all this from E. Michael Jones, if I recall correctly.

This shows the absolute futility of building a ‘third temple’. If their covenant failed with the second, how is building another going to restore the sacrifice?

When Julian the Apostate tried to rebuild it a massive earthquake topled the whole thing.

 

Emperor Julian was the nephew of Emperor Constantine the Great, who in 313 proclaimed Christianity a free religion in the Roman Empire. However, Julian began persecuting Christians—not through killings, but by pushing them to the margins, restricting their worship, and attempting to restore a pagan empire. He reinstated all heretical bishops within Christianity, returned confiscated property to pagan temples, and reopened previously banned pagan shrines.

In order to harm Christianity, he initiated the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, since many Christians firmly believed in what Christ had said—that the Temple would be destroyed. Before his campaign against Persia (modern-day Iran), he ordered the reconstruction of the Temple, but a fire and an earthquake occurred.

He then launched a campaign to conquer Persia, where he was killed. Although he initially had success, his forces were soon cut off from supplies and surrounded on all sides; his successor ordered a retreat. He strongly favored Jews at the expense of Christians.

If you look at it and slightly change some names, the entire situation is practically similar or the same as today…

There is a desire to rebuild the Temple; Iran (Persia) is being attacked with initial success, but as time goes on, supply lines are cut and become insufficient. Actions are taken at the expense of Christians especially Catholic who are under attack; the West is led, at the very least, by pagans—and I fear, perhaps by something even worse. Trump could very easily falter in Iran, and his successor might withdraw from the war…

Emperor Julian was among the last emperors of a unified Roman Empire, which was soon divided into the Western and Eastern parts, later known as Byzantium. Given the situation in the United States—deep ideological divisions that such a war could further intensify, along with crisis—it raises the question of whether the U.S. could end up in a state similar to the time of the Civil War, split into North and South, with Iran (Persia) once again becoming the breaking point…

It feels like a kind of déjà vu.

Italian Guido Crosetto has said that he is unable to sleep at night due to concerns over the situation in Iran.

According to La Repubblica, Crosetto stated: “I live this war and its potential consequences twenty-four hours a day. I am forced to know things that keep me awake at night.”

The Italian defence minister explained that his sleeplessness stems from concerns about what may happen in the coming weeks and the potential impact on Italy’s economy and daily life.

 

The powers that be are trying to lull us to sleep that they can control everything that is happening.

This is a lie, they can't.

We are like an airplane that is in a nose dive heading for the ground and no one can pull it out.

Pope Leo and the folks in the Vatican well know this. No call for special prayers. We must not embarrass ourselves by doing that. The suggestion that prayer and reparation might work would be so not modern and in tune with the times. In either case doing such a thing would require Supernatural Faith and there simply is none . They would cringe at the idea that we should turn to God and Our Blessed Mother..

Even if the USA pulls out in 2 weeks it will take a long time for trade to flow normally so 2026 is proving to be pivotal year. Trump is in fact admitting defeat.

 

There is no ceasefire. The United States and Israel have attacked Iran twice in nine months without any reason, killed the supreme religious leader, killed the new religious leader’s father, children, brother, and relatives, wiped out their entire leadership that was rž negotiationing, dropped around 15,000 explosives and destroyed thousands of buildings, killed thousands of civilians, and started it all with an attack on a girls’ school attended by the children of officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in order to hit them personally…

Iranians will not stop until the United States removes its last base from the Middle East, and they would be crazy to stop, because the U.S. has no air defense missiles, cannot carry out a landing, and they have time to develop a strategy.

The only thing left for Trump is to use nuclear weapons, but in that case, forget even a single day of safety for anyone, because then every country will seek to acquire them to protect themselves from the reckless policy of the United States, and Iranians will likely wait for the moment to retaliate in kind, sooner or later…
