Another living saints with great mystical gifts. The thing that always stuck with me with Sister Briege is her down to Earth humility. Prayers today for her. My favorite story about her is when she visited a Monastery where she was to be greeted by a rather proud Abbot who thought rather too much of himself. Briege stepped out of the car and rushed past him exclaiming , 'Where is the toilet! I need to pee!' The look on the Abbot's face must have been a picture. It reminds me of how God can use people like Briege without them even knowing.
That reminds me of something I saw recently about St. Teresa of Avila. It seems she would pray all the time, even on the toilet. One day the devil questioned her, saying surely it was blasphemous to pray there. She replied that what came out of her mouth was for God and from the other end was for him.
