A well known clip of Irish dancing from the Late Late Show on RTE in 1972 but might not be familiar to our forum members abroad.
    Worth a watch!

Gay Byrne was a legend too.... We were innocent in those days.

I remember seeing things like this as a youngster. My parents would - only ever whilst on holiday now, take us to the bars and such. And the awe of seeing these things would be amazing. It was like an otherworldly experience. Full of mystique. And I loved it..
    Such innocent days....

Yes, I remember watching the Late Late in those (seemingly) innocent days too. Gay Byrne was a great host and had a wide variety of guests over the years.
I remember seeing Mother Teresa being interviewed and being very struck by her quietly strong presence.
I know he also interviewed Conchita Gonzalez when the show was broadcast from New York one time, I'm pretty sure I saw that at the time also.
Lots of good comedians, musicians and actors were on the show too.
    Good days indeed.
