I think many people—perhaps the majority—believe that God is too loving a Father to punish. However, the exposure of Epstein’s criminal network has led people to develop a sense of impunity and injustice regarding the likely lack of punishment for those involved, who make up a global network with many tentacles. In this context, divine intervention comes to be seen as the only hope for justice. In recent years, I have seen many people vent on social media that the Apocalypse or the fall of a meteor would be a source of hope.
Yes, I have wondered about this as well. Perhaps we will reach a tipping point where too many people are calling to God for justice. Mary is mercy...but now our own Church is downplaying her. It sure seems the time of Justice is approaching.
The real horror in all of this, though, is what is in store for these evil-doers' souls for all of eternity. We're recoiling from the terror the poor victims have had to experience...but while these poor little ones are flying directly into the arms of Jesus, the horrors the abusers are experiencing in their own souls and will endure for eternity if we don't obtain mercy for them makes me shudder as well. These abusers were once children themselves. It pains me to think of their mothers, wherever they are...knowing what is in store for their children. As long as they are still alive, it's not too late for us to do penance for their souls...

A few days ago, I was thinking that Rome is the mother of the Churches for us Catholics, while Moscow is the Third Rome for many Orthodox Christians, which gives the Russian capital an eschatological and even divine role for many adherents of that faith. Therefore, if Rome and Moscow were to fall at the same time in a large-scale war of mutual destruction, a new focal point of unity for Catholics and Orthodox might emerge—perhaps in the Holy Land or in a place that has been the site of a major Marian apparition.
Yes I think in Jerusalem. However for that to happen Israel itself would have to fall..and I believe it will. The Jews themselves will have to convert. Perhaps the Fall of Israel will humble them and cause this.
