One thing I notice about modern politicians no matter what party they come from is that all their policies are the same. They might claim they are different and give some hope but once they get in power it is the same thing. So it does not matter who you vote for you get them same thing. What is more they all believe the same crazy evil things like mass murder of the unborn , mass murder of the elderly through euthanasia , sexual perversions of every type is good and to be encouraged and on and on. So there is no one a good Catholic in Ireland can vote for. They are all human demons.

Is democracy a good thing when we wound up in this hell? I wonder.

Yes all the main parties are the same. Still there is hope. New people are emerging such as Aontu and some good independent candidates. The recent presidential election was set up to give no choice to electorate. A lot of voters spoiled their votes in protest. It was felt and the parties know they are on their last legs. I just pray now and refuse to listen to politicians at all.

Well I suppose we get the leaders we deserve. Unless the people change we will be stuck with them. I cannot see things changing without a huge chastisment.

The Greeks invented democracy and very quickly abandoned it.

"Liberty or Equality-The Challenge of our Time" by Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn (a devout Catholic) is a book that damnably indicts democracy as the worst possible form of government. Like most good books, it is available free on the internet.

'Making the world safe for democracy' is a euphemism for the imposition of the evils that you mention in your first paragraph.

I was rooting for the Iranians in the recent attempt at 'regime change' by US\Israel, because the latter were attempting to impose upon Iran a much more evil and heretical system than even the rule of Islam. The Mullahs are anti-abortion and anti-euthanasia and the reason that they haven't nuclear weapons currently is because their Ayatollah is opposed to them on moral grounds.

It is one of the deep sadnesses of my life that looking back on it that I was so often and deeply deceived by lies from the World and from with the Church herself. My good Catholic parents warned me on many occasions but to my shame I sometimes even laughed at them as they told me the truth.

Was it my fault that I was so deeply and often deceived? Yes for if I had prayed more often and deeply my eyes would have been opened to the lies.

Even today hardly a day goes past when my eyes are not opened a little more.

It is painful to learn the truth but better than being in the great fog and blindness.

I heard the parable of the 10 wise Virgins awaiting the return of the Bridegroom at a shortened (by storm) retreat this weekend. The catechist emphasized that those wise ones had enough oil and were prepared. He said there is a lesson for all of us- now is the time to gather our oil. And we do it by frequent prayer, Mass, confession. We need to have our lamps lit with the oil we "obtain" now - not when the Bridegroom suddenly appears. I guess in my mind, many of the lay people understand this and are obtaining their oil. But, unfortunately, it looks as if not all our leaders are doing the same. To be fair, i dont know any of these men well, but on surface

Since the "Enlightenment", at the earliest, deceptions have been laid upon the world with a trowel.

If people were uneducated, they could escape much of this. However, we then got the benefit of universal (dis)education. This has been further greatly amplified by the constant noise we hear from the media, be it newspapers, most literature, television, radio, cinema and much else.

However, the internet, for all its terrible faults, has provided a platform for easily accessible alternative forms of knowledge (your site is a prime example), where people can discover that the official narratives are not the complete and irrefutible truth.

The more I discover, as I get older (like myself, you probably find it difficult to go in the opposite direction), the more I can see that almost all, perhaps all, of the official narratives have as their fundamental purpose opposition to Christ. For example, one of the most insidious and vicious of these narratives is the Darwinian lie, which reduces our being from the likeness of God to a random accident and which is taught in all our schools, Catholic and otherwise, as 'scientific dogma'. Despite the 'scientific' authoritarianism it is becoming increasingly obvious that this great lie does not hold up at all and its advocates well know it-not so long ago, one of them let slip that when a very plausible contradiction of Evolution was presented, it could not be considered, 'because God could not be allowed to put a foot in the door'. In other words, it's not about science or facts, it's about hiding Christ.

And what can these atheists offer people? The best they can do, it appears to me, is boast that we're living longer. Apart from the fact that these extra years for many are ones of dementia, these snake-oil salesmen are trying to convince us that an extra five years of life is the new immortality. What a swizz. Unfortunately, there are many buyers.

This is excellent DeGaulle. You lay it out point by point. I have come to believe that it truly is Our Lady who has protected us from these lies. And I know she will continue to protect us. Fr Gobbi quoted her as warning that the only safe place is in her Immaculate Heart. She is the Ark that will carry us through the storm. More and more and deeper and deeper I begin to understand how great a gift Jesus gave us from the Cross. His own Mother. With all the love and concern and fierce protection that entails. I always found it curious that the Protestants jettisoned Our Lady and the Eucharist almost immediately. What does the devil hate the most? Our Lady and the Holy Sacrament of the Altar. We fly to thy patronage oh holy Mother of God. Despise not my petition in my necessity but protect me ftom all danger oh most glorious ever Virgin Mary.

The Protestant revolt laid the way for the "Enlightenment". Without the protection of Our Lord's Mother and His Church, they became open to all kinds of worldly error.

Politics can be interesting and it is good to keep an eye on things. But one thing about Politics is that it seems to be all about the wrong other people do or are doing. I mean when have you ever seen a politician honestly and openly admitting he has made a mistake? It just does not happen/

The Spiritual Life is really all about the big finger pointing at ourselves rather than other people. It is all about changing ourselves rather than forcing other people to change. It is all about being the little yeast that causes the bread of the wider society to rise. Gently and slowly.

As Jesus said, 'Ego non sum de Mundo' (I am not of this World) John 8:23

    and...

'Non pro Mundo rogo ( I do not pray for the World) John 17:9

This is precisely the opposite of what our Church Leadership is doing at the moment. They wish to do exactly the opposite. They wish to marry the Church to the World and they constantly pray with the World in a false Ecumenism. In other Words they are politicians rather than Spiritual.
As St Margeret Clitherow said before they tortured her to death,

'I shall not join my prayers to your prayers, nor shall you join your prayers to mine'

Dear goodness. But Father McVeigh has become quite famous for being a Modernist heretic. It less troubles me that he says there things than that he has not been given the boot.

But I was listening to Father Muir yesterday and he said an interesting thing. He was working in the Vatican and he said encountered groups of homosexual priests working there and they gave a really bad time to the priests who were good Catholic straight priests. A group of them got round Father Muir and gave him a hard time. Fr Muir asked his Bishop about them and the Bishop laughed . He asked him if he was an American and when he said he was the Bishop said that Italians expected such things. I thought this was a good insight.

The old saying that all heresy begins below the belt is true. Scratch a heretic and find a homosexual deviant, you can pretty well count on it.
