I guess if you are in favor of ivf, the abortion pill, requesting Republicans to compromise on the Hyde amendment, using foul language, showing no love of christ in his heart or actions, then yes he's doing great 100%.

 

Does anyone in politics today meet your purity tests Eric? Of all the politicians out there, given the current context, which politician is on track to reverse everything all at one time. Who is going to undo all the damage done all at once? Last I checked only Jesus can do that.

It is so strange to me that you have such expectations of President Trump, but I have never seen you demand the same of any other politicians. In fact the only politician I have ever seen you upset about is President Trump.

I also couldn't care less about his "foul language" or your projections of what is happening in his heart. In fact, that is something you know nothing of.

 

Its not a purity test. You said hes doing phenomenal. How can anyone be doing phenominal with that as his pedigree.

I, having been a staunch supporter of President Trump, am very much dismayed at what he is doing. Eric mentioned a few things, but there is more. I am begining to believe he is merely a puppet.

Denying the difficulty of the current context of the political landscape at this time while expecting perfection is absolutely a purity test.

Under President Trump Roe vs. Wade was overturned, foreign funding of abortion was removed, withdrew funding for planned Parenthood, enforced the Hyde amendment to prevent federal funding for most abortions, banned federal funding for research which uses aborted fetal tissues, strengthened protections for healthcare workers whose consciences are opposed to abortion related services and was the first President to attend the March for Life rally.

Of course the above is never mentioned by his detractors. President Trump has done more to counter abortion than any politician in memory but his accomplishments are never enough. Unless perfection is achieved in a night they continue to attack him, and even then it would not be enough.

So by all means Eric, for as much as you hate President Trump, tell me about all the other Presidents who have done more than him to prevent abortion since it's inception.

 

Um that was all first term. 2nd term has been nothing but backtracking on all of that stuff, not to mention the many other immoral things he's doing i wont go into. We Catholics should hold our leaders to a higher standard.

I don't think Pax Prima is from the USA, but I could be wrong. Lots of positive trump posts on this forum are from people who do not live in the USA. No, most of the things I mentioned happened in President Trump's second term, of which he has only completed his first year. Again, he has done more than any other President since the inception of abortion. The amount of flak I see him take considering how much he has done in relation to other presidents is incredible. The political climate is brutal currently and I am not privy to what kinds of obstacles he is up against, so I don't judge. The fact that he is making progress at all on the abortion front is astounding.

President Trump has had so many positive accomplishments it is impossible to list them all. These positive accomplishments IMO are also pro-life.

He’s lost the Independent voters. And that’s a real shame. Republicans most likely won’t win the midterms. Without the Midterms all that was gained will be lost.
If this happens Trump and his adventurous wars in the Middle East, the senseless spending, no arrests, rampant fraud,
Kitchen table costs hurting the average American, will help us lose to the Democrats. He’s already preparing the public by saying it will be very difficult to win these midterms.

 

These are great points. Especially regarding arrests and inflation which stand out greatly. I don't know what is going on, because it would appear to me that addressing these issues, especially given the rampant fraud/corruption, would build confidence in the voter base. Such a strange scenario. I believe bigger things are happening behind the scenes than we are aware of. This isn't my attempt to justify what President Trump is doing, but rather pointing out that we very likely aren't getting the whole truth. What we see and what we are told are two very different things.

On the spiritual side I find that some things are simply inexplicable from my vantage point. I can do all the right prayers, attend all the masses, follow all the commandments and things still have a way of falling apart. Not that I expect my faithfulness to protect me from the cross. But sometimes the things that are happening are going to happen regardless and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Mitigate possibly, but stop entirely no.

 

I didn't watch this and I do not know Glenn Diesen at all. However, Jeffrey Sachs, unless he's repented big time is aligned with George Soros (Soros works for the City of London), Obama, and all the green, reduce the population causes. To me he seems like a snake because he sounds conservative, but he's very far from it in his past actions. Controlled opposition might be a good label.
