One great thing in Spain to witness is how well they take care of their old people and how much they love and respect them. In the small village near me they are just finishing building the most beautiful large home for the old.

In the town near me a a huge home for the elderly staffed by nuns where they have ass every day. It is gorgeous inside.

At Mass last night I watched a young girl about 12 constantly resting her head on her grandfathers shoulder.

'The people who do not have God will have Government as their God'.

Couldn't help laughing at the 'typo' in your second paragraph!

Chesterton also said that where the 10 Commandments would be abandoned, they would be replaced by the 10,000 commands.

In Ireland, where would they find nuns?

One thing I notice in the USA I have not yet seen in Ireland as regards nuns. In the USA there are new orders of nuns, very traditionally Catholic with , for instance full habits. They are kind of retrograde in that they go back to the time before Vatican 2. But they are hugely, hugely thriving. Whole hoards of young girls are flocking to them. It is a real phenomena. I have never seen anything like this in Ireland?

I was just curious has anyone seen anything like this In Ireland?

Only nuns I know of in Ireland are elderly 'social justice warriors'.

I am afraid Ireland is something of a spiritual basket case. But there are other places a lot worse. I heard yesterday that in Denmark only 2% of people are still Christians. This goes for all the Scandanavian countries.

One good thing in Ireland is the movements of laypeople. The public rosaries and processions for instance.

The Sister Adorers in Ardee who are connected with the Institute are likewise traditionally minded.

We also have the Dominican Sisters of St Cecelia who are in Limerick. They are doing great work. They came from Nashville. The superior in Limerick is Irish. The others are American.
The lay people are stepping up. A lot of people in daily Mass. First Friday devotions and Mens Public Rosary is spreading. The laity are waking up.

In Waterford we have the Home of the Mother sisters and the Sisters of Mary Morning Star, a contemplative order.

It is sad sometimes you drive through a country town and see an empty convent, when the nuns have come back the Church has come back.

The old orders are gone but new ones are emerging and returning to tradition.
The Home of the Mother nuns are also in Donegal.

We can see this, that Tradition is important, why can't our Bishops?

A young girl from a neighbouring parish has joined a new community in Co Clare. I can't remember the name but I know this young lady is very devout. The Order is awaiting approval.

Wonderful things are happening. But it reminds me of the Holy Family in Nazareth. Hidden.

I see Mary McAlleese a former President of Ireland said that Catholics should not be allowed to baptise their children , that it is form of brain washing.

I see also that Higgins another former President claims that the massacre of Catholics by Islam in Nigeria is die to Global Warming.

We are dealing with the purest evil.
