Yes. It is the Blessed Virgin's explanation of the vision that is missing. The vision in one hand it's explanation on the other.

I mentioned this because that letter was written in the early 1940s by St. Leopold, at a time when no one yet knew about anything like that. At that time, the United States was the only strong bastion against totalitarianism, whether Nazism/Fascism or Communism, which later went on to occupy almost 50% of the world.

Bishop Fulton Sheen was watched on almost every screen where there were Catholics, as well as by a large number of other Christians, and even atheists, who were still relatively few at the time. This means that the dogma of the faith in the United States was clearly defined.

The saints obviously had insight into future events through what God revealed to them, seemingly already since Fatima. It is interesting that the Second Vatican Council affected them almost more than Communism itself; they knew that a great falling away from the faith was coming, and with it a breach within the Church, where attempts would be made to alter the very foundations of the faith.

What I think—and this is my personal opinion—is that countries such as Ireland, because of its long and faithful tradition to God, and I hope Croatia, as well as Poland and Slovakia, which currently have more traditional leadership and have endured the crucifixion of Communism while preserving the faith, and Spain, which offered countless sacrifices during the civil war, with over 6,000 priests and nuns killed, will, because of their sacrifice, preserve the dogma of the faith.

Of course, as you say, much remains unknown—except that it will be preserved in Portugal. Spain, Ireland, and Italy have probably undergone the greatest transformation over the past thirty or so years. Few would have predicted such a scenario in 60's, and maybe 70's...

Ireland is going to shortly run out of priests. I don’t have much confidence in our bishops.

I have finally finished Antonio Socci's book. It is quite convincing and utterly Catholic.

The Third Secret has only been imperfectly revealed. What has been kept hidden from us seems to consist of two parts: firstly, an apocalyptic one of worldly chasisements; and worse, a description of the corruption of The Church, rotting from the head down, which appears to be playing out before our own very eyes, may God help us.

Socci holds John XXIII in particular, and Paul VI to a slightly lesser extent, two popes infested with socialist, modernist and over-worldly humanist ideas, as primarily responsible for this concealment. On the other hand, Pope John Paul II clearly emerges from his account as the Saint that he is, with Pope Benedict XVI also doing his best to transmit the Truth, or at least suggest that there is more to be revealed.

Like the Kings of France, as in the reference by Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, for The Church now it may be too late to carry out the requests of the Madonna.
