I think the finest example of purely human/ political thought in the Vatican was the refusal to release the 3rd Secret of Fatima as Our Lady decreed. One guy in the Vatican when asked about this said, 'We will not be dictated to by three peasant children in the middle of nowhere perched on a mountain in Portugal'.

That says all that needs to be said.

Another good example was the way they treated Padre Pio, perhaps the greatest mystic saint of our age.

Reading about the seven churches of the Apocalypse is very interesting. It is also very interesting to learn about Pelagianism and acedia. Perhaps the only clue as to where we are in our time is to read about the Church of Laodicea, the last of the seven. The state of well-being, hedonism, laziness, worldly desires, and deadly sins are born from a lack of love for Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. Man becomes a lukewarm and disoriented being, driven by his passions.

 

I noticed that as well, that the last of the 7 churches seemed to describe the current Church best.

 

Spiritual acedia is a state of laziness, apathy, and sadness toward spiritual goods, characterized by a loss of interest and boredom in the life of faith and religious practices. Originating in the monastic tradition, it is considered a cardinal sin in Christian theology, as it can lead to the abandonment of the spiritual life and indifference toward God. Pelagianism is a heresy that asserts that humankind, through their own willpower and intellectual capacity, can overcome evil without the need for God. And the truth is that we are incapable of moving a single finger without God's permission. Human beings can only fulfill divine law and achieve holiness if they love God. To love God, one must know Him. One must also have encountered Him in this life... perhaps on a painful or desperate occasion. Perhaps in a supplication to the Father. He is continually knocking at the door of our soul. If anyone opens it, they will dine with him. To know God is to know the infinite spring from which all love flows. For those who have never tried, seek Him in the depths of your being, where only He and you know everything about your life, where that innocent and joyful child still resides. He has always been with us. He has never abandoned us for a second.

I have delayed in reading this book, only having read quotes from it. I will give it a go, I wish there was an audio book version.

It's not about the time so much as it is about focusing for extended periods of time. It is easier for me to get through a book when my attention isn't fully occupied by my senses. With an audio book I can keep my eyes on the Lord and another on the book. I know this sounds like some kind of retarded piety, but it is what it is.

I listened to a bit of this. It is comprised mostly of private revelation from what I can tell. One part I found interesting is that the author believes it is possible that it will be the US who ends up funding the Great Monarch/Emperor. Which would indicate the US makes it out of all this. They also said on the other side of the war there will be great abundance, which makes sense because everything currently is throttled down.

 

I was just listening to a theology Professor from the USA this morning. He just happened to mention that he had managed to keep his position under Pope Frankie because although he had raised questions about things Papa Frankie had said he did so anonymously. But they said that many poor people lost their jobs for speaking out.

This was very,very cruel and uncharitable. But very,very,very many cruel and uncharitable things were done under his rule and indeed his direct instruction. Witness the Covid Lockdowns.

 

A very perplexing thing about the USA in Catholic Prophecy is its absence. Sometimes people claim to know things but I never took any seriously.

I always took from this that the USA will, at some near point cease to exist. That it will break up.

 

I often wonder about this too Padraig. I don't know what becomes of the US but I don't think it will exist as the nation the world knows. Hopefully, for my and my children's sake it is at least broken into 3-4 smaller nations. That seems possible but then again I often wonder about the Virgin Mother's visit to George Washington at Valley Forge. She showed him 3 wars and the 3rd has yet to come but in that story, heaven helps!

Our Lady of America warned the country too and I don't see that the country listened:

On the feast of the Most Holy Rosary, Oct. 7, Our Lady, holding a rosary, gave a warning, and still another avenue of hope. [W]hat I am about to tell you concerns in a particular way my children in America. Unless they do penance by mortification and self-denial and thus reform their lives, God will visit them with punishments hitherto unknown to them.

My child, there will be peace, as has been promised, but not until my children are purified and cleansed from defilement, and clothed thus with the white garment of grace, are made ready to receive this peace, so long promised and so long held back because of the sins of men.


My dear children, either you will do as I desire and reform your lives, or God Himself will need to cleanse you in the fires of untold punishment. Popes, good Popes I mean, tend to know more than the rest of us for many reasons know much, much more than the rest of us, not least because they are sided by Heaven and given supernatural insights.

When Pope St John Paul visited the USA he said something that bears prophetically on our times especially as regards the USA. He spoke of a great Spiritual battle between good and evil but I don't think anyone really understood back then.##

But many, many of us do now.

 

Yeah, it's hard to know exactly what's going to happen. One thing I find difficult with the book by Dupont is that I find it very repetitive. I don't know that there is a way to get around this as it is trying to form an overall view point from the many private revelations. I will continue on though.

As well, the vast majority of the private revelations contained in the book thus far appear to be from Europe. Which seems to generate what would be a future unfoldment of events as would be observed from Europe. Or the primary focus should be on what occurs in Europe, so what happens there is what is focused on. I really don't know, but I suspect it is a lot of both.

The book of revelation appears to focus globally, but the battles contained within seem to be localized. Which IMO are in Europe and the other Israel. Which could give some account for why the US isn't mentioned so much.

 

When thinking of the future of the U.S., I am comforted by Padre Pio and Sr. Lucia of Fatima. They were both asked questions about the future of the U.S., in relation to chastisement, and they both had knowing secretive smiles on their face. They were both very fond of Americans. Padre Pio said that the U.S. would learn conversion from Russia.

Also many visionaries privy to secrets and upcoming chastisements have moved to the U.S.

But I believe that Europe and Russia are very dear to Our Lord and Mary, due to their long history of Christianity and great saints, and they will be central to unfolding prophecy. That is probably why the U.S. isn't mentioned much. We're like the baby of the family.

 

Very good points about the saints and visionaries. Here is something else that could be very positive.

Revelation 12:15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.

If the waters are nations, multitudes and languages and the earth are Christian lands, it sounds to me like this river of people migrating to western nations essentially gets converted into the church, hence the word absorbed. Which is why the dragon gets angry at the woman (the church). He expected this to destroy Christian nations but it backfires. So it appears that some Christian nations will make it out of this, somehow those Christian nations which absorbed the flood of migrants, will be too strong for the dragon.

"The rest of her children" sounds like nations who have Christian populations that cannot defend themselves, which we are seeing happen currently (Nigeria, middle east).

And we are seeing this online, many migrants are becoming Christian. The debates and dialogue are happening, which is why so many nations are trying to eliminate free speech. I think it was de Gaulle who said 20% had already converted in Europe alone, and this trend is only getting stronger. Plus we are seeing a huge revival.
