Glenn, I hope you are taking it easy. Your surgery was a very invasive and serious one. Our Blessed Mother must be at your side!
Quotes from Our Lady at Garabandal “GARABANDAL” magazine, JANUARY-MARCH 2025 MARY, OUR UNIVERSAL MOTHER. “Talk to me Conchita. talk to me about my children. I hold them all beneath my mantle.” “Conchita I have not come for you alone I have come for all my children with the desire of drawing them to our hearts.” “Conchita do you know why I did not come personally on June 18th to give the message for the world? Because it hurt me to say those things but they had to be said for your own good and, if you fulfill the message, for the glory of God. I love you very much and desire your salvation, to reunite you here in heaven around the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” "This is the last time you will see me here. but I will always be with you and with all my children" Final apparition November 13th 1965
Affirmations of the Faith at Garabandal The Blessed Virgin reaffirmed at Garabandal the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church just as they were about to come under attack. HELL: While hell is seldom if ever preached today in the majority of churches, the Blessed Virgin did not hesitate to make reference to it at Garabandal. In her second Message of June 18, 1965, delivered by Saint Michael on her behalf to Conchita, Our Lady said: "Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them." If there is any doubt that perdition refers to hell, here is the Webster's Unabridged description: Perdition: 1. a state of final spiritual ruin; loss of the soul; damnation. 2. the future state of the wicked. 3. hell. In that same Message, Our Lady again alluded to hell when she said: "You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation." from GARABANDAL JOURNAL Nov-Dec. 2002
Affirmations of the Faith at Garabandal. The Blessed Virgin reaffirmed at Garabandal the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church just as they were about to come under attack. ORIGINAL SIN: At Garabandal, the Blessed Virgin reaffirmed the existence of Original Sin. On March 31, 1962, Mari Loli's mother, Julia, gave birth to Lupita, sister to the visionary on the upper floor of the inn which served also as their dwelling. Mari Loli entered into ecstasy on the ground floor and was heard to say: "Ah! It is a little sister? What, so little and sin already in her?" She then came out of ecstasy. A priest present at the time asked her what she meant. She answered: "I saw sin in the soul of my little sister." On another occasion, Conchita related the following. A young woman was holding a three month old baby in her arms. The visionary spoke of the baby to the Blessed Virgin who said the infant was in the state of sin. Out of ecstasy Conchita commented: "I don't know what it means, but if the Blessed Virgin said it is so, then it must be so." She went up to the young woman and told her: "The Virgin told me that the baby is in the state of sin." The mother answered: "It's true. The baby has not yet been baptized." Soon afterwards, the child did receive the sacrament of Baptism. This incident had an influence on the young visionary in later life, since Conchita always insisted on having her children baptized the first Sunday after their birth. As a Deacon who has performed a number of Baptisms, this post reminds me of the importance of this Sacrament. I'll be administering this Sacrament once more this Sunday at 1 pm.
Interview of Venerable Marthe Robin by Fr. Alfred Combe “ Garabandal “ book, by J.Serre & Beatrice Caux, pages 228-229 Marthe: What must we do Father when we have received Graces ? Fr. Combe :” I understand sister Martha. I must then take up again the spreading of the message of Garabandal but by doing so I will receive blows from all sides from the critics from the priests, the vicar generals and even blows from the Shepherds crook of Bishops”. Marthe: Ah well, You will offer them to God ! There Father, give some news of the children of Garabandal Fr. Combe: thus I did (Marthe listened). Marthe: “ Tell the four girls that I pray for them everyday “ Fr. Combe: “Yes Martha for the girls of Garabandal, their Bishop, for yourself ,and for the “houses of charity” and also for the blows dealt to us with a stick”
Just got home from Mass and realized the post I selected for this morning matched the Gospel reading John 15:18-21 18: "If the world hates you, you must realise that it hated me before it hated you." Hmmm, I just someone implanted that thought in my head today.
MAY 25,1887 : HAPPY 138th BIRTHDAY TO SAINT PADRE PIO ! SAINT PADRE PIO'S BELIEF IN GARABANDAL : Joey Lomangino’s recall of the when he talked to Padre Pio: “We made arrangements to come back again that same day and greeted Padre Pio in the cloister. When we knelt down, we said to him, “Padre Pio, is it true that the Virgin is appearing to the four girls of Garabandal?” And he said, “Yes.” We said, “Padre Pio, should we go there? He said, “Yes, why not?” And that’s how it happened. Because I received the assurance from Padre Pio that the Virgin was appearing and that he permitted me to go, then I wasn’t afraid and I went. “

Conchita’s letter sent to Joey Lomangino on May 28, 1965: "The world is always carrying on the same way, if not worse. Few paid attention to the Message (the first one, October 18, 1961). My Son will have to give another one, and this will be the last one. After June 18 (1965) and before the Miracle, there will come a "disaster" from heaven, it will be an "Aviso" for the world to amend its ways. If, with this trial and the Miracle, Humanity does not change, the Chastisement will fall on us and the end of the times will also come. The "disaster," as she told me, is horrible, the kind we deserve. The Blessed Virgin also told me that we must not grieve over the material sufferings of the "chastisement" that we ourselves will have brought about because of our sins committed against her Son. These are the last Avisos (warnings), and we must derive benefit from them. She told me again that the world believes there is a Heaven and a hell, but we do not think that we will have to go to the one or the other. Humanity thinks only about the present life (. . .)" “GARABANDAL” book, by Jacques Serre, page 186
Our Lady's 1st Message of Garabandal :October 18, 1961. " We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up, and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us." CARDINAL ALFREDO OTTAVIANI Prefect for more than twenty years of the Sacred Congregation of the Holy Office, which, in 1966, became the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Ottaviani was, in his special function of "guardian of the faith," It was therefore, with prudence, that, one might remember, he first listened to Conchita in January 1966, at the Vatican. The initiatives that the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith took, right after his conversations with the visionary, facilitating her meeting Pope Paul VI, in private, allows us to suppose, however, that his opinion was already favorable. . . Not, however, without mentioning how Jacinta herself was to be introduced to Cardinal Ottaviani, in 1975, for we know the astonishing exhortation he then addressed to her: "We must pray a great deal, Jacinta, so that the Church may acknowledge Garabandal," after . . . having told her that he believed in the supernatural character of Garabandal . 3 Girls went into convents. Many people have commented over the years “ Why didn’t the girls go into the religious life, become Nuns after the apparitions ? (as if this was a “must” to be considered a valid visionary). Most people don’t know that actually 3 of the 4 girls did enter convents ! Conchita, Jacinta, and Mari Loli did for a short time, then left for different reasons, and became boarding students instead. Mary Cruz did not go at all. On February 7,1966 Conchita (on her 17th birthday) enters the Discalced Carmelites Missionaries of Pamplona. On February 13,1966 she has a locution from Jesus. Jesus said to Conchita: “ I choose you in the world, that is, in the normal condition of the faithful, so that you would remain in it. “ Both Jacinta and Mari Loli were 16 at the time they decided to enter a convent. On September 30, 1965 they left for the Sisters of Charity of St. Ann, in the Aragon town of Borja. I guess our Lord had other plans and vocations for the girls, to remain in the world, and not hidden away in a convent. How else would we know all that we do about the apparitions and messages. June is the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Jesus actually appeared to visionary Jacinta Gonzalez at the end of June (29TH) ,before the Blessed Mother started to appear to all the girls at Garabandal in July. Jesus gives these twelve promises for those who are devoted to His Sacred Heart. 1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life. 2. I will establish peace in their families. 3. I will console them in all their troubles. 4. They shall find in My Heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of their death. 5. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings. 6. Sinners shall find in My Heart the source of an infinite ocean of mercy. 7. Tepid souls shall become fervent. 8. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection. 9. I will bless the homes where an image of My Heart shall be exposed and honored. 10. I will give to priests the power of touching the most hardened hearts. 11. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be effaced. 12. The all-powerful love of My Heart will grant to all those who shall receive Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under my displeasure, nor without receiving their Sacraments; My heart shall be their assured refuge at that last hour.
Why did Conchita move to America ? There was no chance of her having a normal realistic life there in the village. Everyday she had people telling her what to do, and it would be impossible for her to go outside or even do her chores because of the countless visitors wanting to see her, talk to her, question her, touch her ( as if she had powers to heal ),that is why her mother sent her away at 17 to another town for her education . Later at age 23 she came to America. A famous Spanish/American Radio personality and Physician in NY, Dr. Dominguez, knew her from his visits to Garabandal, offered to bring her over, and provide housing and a vocation in his medical practice. Funny how 3 of the 4 girls moved to America for privacy. (Maybe a Divine plan). Here is Conchita in her own words : " I remember my village caused me to suffer. I felt as if I was imprisoned. I acted by the commands of others who constantly advised me " Go to mass, Pray the rosary, Do this, Give up that ". At times I thought I would be happy in a hermitage away from everyone, and to work there alone for God and see what I was capable of doing without their forever telling me." NOVEMBER 25,1966
Don't try to test our Blessed Mother ! Two couples approached Conchita and gave her four wedding rings, so that in her next ecstasy she would give them to be kissed by the Virgin. As Conchita offered the rings to Our Lady, she was heard to say: "You don't want to kiss them? But I don't understand. Ah! So I have to tell them to straighten out their lives and be good?" After the ecstasy, Conchita returned the rings to the man who had given them to her and told him and his companions what the Virgin had said. He was very embarrassed and said, "We came here to prove Garabandal was false if the girls gave us back the rings on our fingers, because none of us are married and we only bought the rings for this occasion."
