Wish I could get all my posts deleted! I posted a note about the Armenian Church and mentioned my cousin's name in it. He just passed. His family is bhuddist. I did not know posts from mog appeared on search engines like google . . .I googled my cousin's name and he appeared in the mog discussion. I was not aware our comments appeared on google. I thought this was a private site. I hope I don't get sued!
Chalk it up to a learning experience. You won't get sued, there is no absolute proof anyone has that your account wasn't hacked when that post was made.
Wow I thought this was a private site too. I will need to review what I have written. My condolences on your cousin’s passing. FWIW I don’t think mentioning someone online is illegal as long as it’s not defamatory or libelous. Peace!
It is a very good thing imo to always be careful when posting on any website regardless of whether private or not . It’s amazing what the computers/AI and nefarious entities are able to do now a days
I think that’s why I call myself HH and I don’t use my name. I think any name can be referred to online. It’s discouraging that, if I post a condolence online and use my name, it’s online.
Yes I deleted my post but it wouldn't delete the posters who quoted me . . .internet is not a friendly place . . .
I think the way it works is that robot bots are on the site and so whatever is posted is kind of carried. It is a but like Dandelion seeds that get blown on the wind. But even without the internet it reminds me of the old saying, 'Where two people know a secret, it is no longer a secret'.
Ugh. This happened to a family member who innocently asked a question on a financial forum. They did everything possible to get the information deleted and nothing worked. It is maddening.
