I don't believe it anymore. To be honest, in the last few weeks I've been more concerned with issues that affect our faith than purely political ones. Merz belongs to the category of politicians who like to roar like a lion on various topics, but only want to cover up the fact that they are actually just little kittens. He promised so much before the election and then relativised some of it the day after the election until there was nothing left of it. You know the game. Until recently, Merz made loud-mouthed statements about Russia (Taurus missiles, etc.). But most recently they acted in such a way that I think they know that without the Americans there is no way to win a war against Russia. Or rather, the only thing that could be won if Russia were to be defeated conventionally for inexplicable reasons would be a nuclear war. I'm sure they've known that for a long time. But it's the beginning of the time of withdrawal while saving face. The Merz government has decided to stop talking publicly about most arms deliveries. I think that's how they want to get out of the Taurus number. Blackrock was probably compensated in some other way - by the US Ukraine deal.
Of course, the US/Ukraine deal is founded on the presumption that Russia doesn't take most of it from the East and Hungary/Poland the rest from the West. NATO doesn't look so united anymore. Additionally, there are the polar differences between the US and Turkey on the Levant issue, complicated now by the stance recently being taken by Macron.

I read a report years ago the former President Trudeau and his wife were caught by mistake when their suitcase was opened inadvertently although they had VIP diplomatic immunity and was found to be full of cocaine. Kilos of it. Of course it was all hushed up. The Clinton's too were reported to be up to their necks in the drug trade. Then of course credible reports that President Macron's wife is in fact a man, a transvestite. I have the distinct impression that many of the World's Leaders are insane. President Bibi Netanayu of Israel is a good example. Truly evil people are by definition , insane.
I dont think we have any idea of how deep and wicked world leaders are or the power brokers who "appoint" them.

Zelensky is engineering the murder of Christians from the Ukraine and from Russia. Today, I read Ron Unz, a Jew himself, assert in his 'Unz Review' article in praise of Father Coughlan's views on the Jews, that the Jewish people, in proportion to their population were, and by a long way, the greatest mass-murderers of the twentieth century. Today, perhaps on that same site, I read of the leader of one of the Israeli centrist parties castigating Netanyahu for making 'a hobby' of killing children. Netanyahu dismissed him as 'antisemitic', if I remember correctly. There is something very cynically evil about such glib and unoriginal dismissal of a moral censure. Unfortunately, it seems that very many Israelis support Netanyahu. Also on Unz Review, he is reported as telling Israelis on television that the recent criticism by Starmer, Macron and other EU leaders was only for show, in order to avoid being seen as complicit with the final solution to the genocide that he intends to pursue.
