Those of you you who have read my previous posts or have visited my blog know that I'm far more likely to talk politics and current events than visions and locutions. I have no gift as a seer. But after receiving the Eucharist at a daily Mass several weeks ago, I was asked to request 24 hours worth of Masses on November 2, 2013 for the dead. My prayerful response to this prompting was, "God, I'm nothing but a crazy crackpot. Why me?" But the prompting was persistent. And the only reason I've been given is, "The need will be clear." I've shared this with my Pastor, and the traveling Fatima statue will be in our parish 2 days later. I don't know that a single parish can do this, and yes I know that Masses are said around the world at every hour of the day. That is not what was requested.

 

If Padraig Pearse was around it would be a different story - he and the nationalists of 1916 must be turning in their graves at the way Ireland has gone. Subservience to Britain has been replaced by subservience to Europe. It is a national scandal and a national disgrace but too many blind people cannot see.

At least some Americans are awake to the reality of what is going on.

Here in Ireland people are as docile as lambs going to the slaughter.

 

Wow... How interesting. Maybe it has something to do with All Souls Day, which falls annually on 11/2? Just a thought.

 

Yes, but that isn't the whole reason for the prompting. The sense I have been given is that there will be many dead between now and then. I believe it is happening now, and news sources aren't reporting it. It's happening in Egypt, and Syria, and it is spreading. It will happen in the United States and Europe. The fullness of the deaths of the unborn is also part of it. The enormity of the sin of abortion will be aparent to all in a visceral way. The deaths of the neglected elderly will be seen by all. And the spiritual death of souls will be felt. We will walk in a world where the living dead, those who have lost their souls, will be recognizable at a glance. The Mass is the only source of peace and salvation in this time. The Lord wants us to be present with him in the Eucharist, fighting sleep and hunger as the apostles did during the agony in the garden. It is time to fight extraordinary sinfulness with extraordinary prayer.

 

And, a priest can say no more than 3 Masses in one day. Your going to have to find 8 priests for a 24 hour day.

 

God have mercy... Sounds intense. I will pray with you.

 

I have the same sense. We are in the beginning of very dark days, and our Father may take the innocent, the infirm and the weakest of his sheep home to Himself as an extravagant act of tender mercy.

May God give us grace upon grace to praise Him for everything that comes from His hand, even when it hurts.

Jesus, I trust in You!!!

 

Surely we can find 8 priests in each diocese, especially on a Saturday when most parishes have only two Masses, one in the morning and one in the evening for a vigil. Are there any priests here in the forums who could plan a series of Masses at various times throughout the day with their brother priests?

 

For the last month I’ve been praying to God for direction concerning the USA and I’ve been led to these scripture readings. Take it for what it’s worth.
Deuteronomy 6 – “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone! Therefore, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength.” We must love Him above everything.
Zechariah 10 – In my bible, the St. Joseph, New American Bible, the opening of this chapter is titled: The New Order of Things and what also stood out to me was this - “My wrath is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders.”
Esther 4 – She intervenes to save God’s people, the Jews, from slaughter. Haman prefigures Anti-Christ, as Esther pre-figures Our Lady. This leads me to believe that a faithful remnant will be saved.
Joshua 10 – His victories in battle and the miracle of the Sun - “Joshua prayed to the Lord, and said in the presence of Israel: Stand still, O sun, at Gibeon, O moon, in the valley of Aijalon! And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed while the nation took vengeance on its foes.”
2 Kings 16 – I still don’t understand why I was led here, but this stood out to me - “He (Ahaz of Judah) did not please the Lord, his God, like his forefather David, but conducted himself like the Kings of Israel, and even immolated his son by fire in accordance with the abominable practice of the nations whom the Lord had cleared out of the way for the Israelites.”
Ezekiel 34 – Again, another rebuke of our Shepherds. “ Woe to the Shepherds who have been pasturing themselves! “ “For thus says the Lord God: I myself will look after and tend my sheep.” Then the same reading describes the separation of the sheep.
Galatians 1 – In sum, we must remain loyal to the Gospel no matter what.
There were more readings, but I think this is enough for now.

One of my favorite quotes came from Billy Graham's wife (at least I think it came from her). She was talking about the state of America and said, "pretty soon God is going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah." How true! Lord Jesus have mercy on us all in this country for we are all grave sinners!

Mark Levin warns: Obama preparing country for coup against Constitution

Earlier this week, conservative talk show host Mark Levin warned that Barack Obama is campaigning and preparing the country for what amounts to a coup against the Constitution over the debt ceiling, Breitbart.com reported Sunday.
Levin said that it’s clear Obama has moved on from the shutdown and is now focused on the debt ceiling, paving the way for low-information liberals to support him as he bypasses Congress and unilaterally seizes control of the nation’s economy, Dr. Susan Berry wrote..
“Default, default, default…why is he saying that? Just to scare people?” Levin asked. “Well, that’s part of it, obviously. But, it’s more than that, ladies and gentlemen. Barack Obama is plotting, that if he can’t get what he wants out of the House Republicans, that if he can’t get his Plan A, and get Boehner and the Republicans to buckle – not just on the Continuing Resolution – but on the debt ceiling, then he’s got his Plan B.”
And what, exactly is “Plan B?”
According to Levin, that plan involves Obama unilaterally raising the debt ceiling by citing the 14th Amendment.
In essence, Levin said, Obama effectively plans to “seize from Congress the power of the purse” in what he called “the most egregious attack on our Constitution by a President” in all of U.S. history.
Examiner’s Anthony G. Martin said the 14th Amendment does not give Obama the authority to usurp Congress’ role regarding the debt ceiling.
“Nowhere does the Amendment mandate that overall federal spending be increased at the whim of a president, or anyone else in government, not even Congress,” he wrote.
Levin went further, saying that Obama is being encouraged “by Marxists dressed up as Constitutionalists, by people in his own party, he’s being encouraged to conduct himself as a dictator, and to bypass Congress and to bypass the Constitution.”
“They want a full-blown Constitutional crisis. Please, listen to me, this is what they want! So they can continue to shred it!” he added.
This isn’t the first time the subject has been brought up.
Last December, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Obama should be given dictatorial power to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling to infinity.
In July 2011, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, urged Obama to rule like a dictator on the debt ceiling. Other Democrats, like James Clyburn and former President Bill Clinton, have also suggested Obama bypass Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling.
Levin went on to warn listeners of dire consequences to the nation if Obama acts unilaterally.
“So, it is he who is prepared to extort and blackmail in ways that most of you, and most of my colleagues in this business can’t even imagine, or don’t even understand,” he said. “And, if the President of the United States unilaterally lifts the debt ceiling, you can kiss the core functions of Congress goodbye, you can kiss this Republic goodbye, once and for all.”
Indeed, it would be the ultimate “fundamental transformation” Obama promised at the beginning of his presidency.

 

The battle lines are being drawn as we speak!

Priest: Obama Admin. Denied Mass to Catholics
How about trying this one on for size? Here is the press release headline from Congressman Tim Huelskamp’s office this afternoon:
Obama Administration Denies Mass to Catholics
Apparently, a priest was denied access to a military chapel this weekend. Father Ray Leonard serves at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia but because of the government shutdown, he wasn’t allowed to go to celebrate Mass this past weekend.
He is contracted by the Defense Department to meet the spiritual needs of Catholics, but not now. The chapel doors were locked and the sign said, “Shutdown: No Catholic service till further notice.”
Father Leonard said the following:
“This is our church, Catholics have an expectation and obligation to attend Mass and we were told, ‘No you can’t go to church this week…“ My parishioners were upset. They were angry and dismayed. They couldn’t believe that in America they’d be denied access to Mass by the government.”
Rep. Tim Huelskamp had this reaction:
“Time and time again this Administration demonstrates it is waging a war against the very religious freedoms upon which America was founded. This is exactly why we worked to pass legislation (House Concurrent Resolution 58) this past weekend – to protect the religious liberties of all those who bravely serve in our Armed Forces.”
