John, I needed to read this again today. I am very grateful you created this thread. TBH, I think this is in many ways the "soul" of this forum I come here today in need of prayer.. I am tired and weary in this walk since our accident. I know God is always good. I know this accident is for my good and that of my wife and family. Pray we continue to walk this Calvary not begrudgingly but with joy that the Lord has truly blessed us to be in a small way a participant in his suffering. Since I am a very weak man, I need your prayers. Thank you. We pray every morning for you. Peace.
I will be praying for you and your wife. Sometimes it takes a full year to see complete recovery from the trauma and surgeries. Don’t give up.
It's a long road and a heavy cross to carry but yes, we are priveledged to be participants in Christ's suffering. That is the thing I believe that scares most away but He has given us the knowledge to understand it in His great mercy You and your family are in my prayers and devotions here Mike and at every Mass I attend. I am very thankful also for the "soul of this forum". What a perfect place-name. It is such a blessing as was just finding this forum.. Feel the embrace of Mary and the comfort she and Jesus provide and know that you have our prayers Mike.
Praying that you and and wife will be blessed with perseverance through this trial. God bless you both.
Prayers for sparrow’s sister Marie and Miker’s entire family and all those who are carrying a heavy cross. This will lift your spirits, I promise! https://x.com/alfredohinny/status/1921643460936847591?s=61&t=8Ice4V2jUfcTfPepPlnZqQ
God bless you Mike and thankyou for such kind words yes I truly believe the creation of this particular thread was inspired by the Holy Spirit so that no-one is on their own and very much in communion with other brothers and sisters in Christ, it is also very humbling to receive a nice comment especially when my own battery is running low it has reminded me at least Im still doing a little work for our Holy Mother.. I dont know if you've heard the little story about the lamb and the Shepherd I read it before when I was literally on my knees and screaming at God but then it all made sense.... when a sheep would tend to stray, the shepherd would literally break its leg. Then he would bind up the leg and carry the sheep on his shoulders as it healed. He would feed the sheep and bond with it during that healing time, so that the sheep would come to associate the voice and the smell of the shepherd with food and safety. This would keep the sheep from straying, even after its leg had healed and it was again allowed to run free. I know the story might be a myth but yesterday was the feast of the Good Shepherd so it fits right just here.
If you don't mind, I ask for prayers thus morning for Alyce and I. We are going to our parish's annual healing Mass. We come asking the Lord for healing of our bodies and to help us adjust to recent changes in medications which have nit been easy on us. But mostly, pray we have obedience and acceptance to God's will and lovingly embrace our crosses knowing they are for salvation and good We will bring all your needs to this Mass. peace.
I was just coming on to ask prayers again for my sister.. I am with her so her hubby could go to a Blue Jay's game with the old buddies. They get together once a year to do this. After lunch my Marie had a vertigo episode hit her out of the blue. She slept for a couple of hours and is a bit better. But oh man it was quick. Prayers!
