So far, the reasons that inspire hope and optimism predominate. It is mentioned and is inferred from Cardinal reports on the vote, at about minute 6.10 in the video you linked to, something that I personally thought was possible and that would be great and a bit of fun for me. It could be the progressive voters were played...
They are looking for a Pope who can unite. Personally I would prefer a Pope who can stand strong for the teachings of Christ and excommunicate those who don’t.
There are 61 bishops in Germany, only 5 of whom have dared to take a public stand against the heretical synod movement. Even Pope Francis felt that some of the German demands went too far. German church leaders, both Protestant and Catholic, are no longer representatives of God, they are representatives of woke political demands. They are in favour of gender issues, war against Russia, the anti-AfD stance and more. The inclusion of all kinds of perversions in the church is propagated at so-called ‘church days’. Protestants are not much but a little more extreme in this respect. I hope that Pope Leo, if it should be as one hope it will be, will lead to a few more bishops daring to make Catholic views heard. Some bishops are afraid of the media and social headwind that you have to endure if you stand by the truth.
