It is hopeful he was gifted his last Easter. The prayers of Catholics from all over the world helped him. May he rest in peace.
Wow! It's still a great shock. Indeed may God have mercy on the poor man. Many, many prayers today for his poor, poor soul.
I suppose this means there will be a new Pope by the end of the week. Please God may he be a good Catholic gentleman.
The fact that he visited the tomb of St Pope Pius X a few days ago was encouraging. May The Lord have mercy on his soul.
As ill as he was, this still comes as a terrible shock to me. From Good Friday, I've been sensing the end of something. In fact in my Easter message I posted that something has ended. And it's not just Lent... But I didn't expect that end to be the Holy Father's life.
What will happen now with the canonization of Carlo Acutis next weekend, will they have to postpone it?

This is his legacy, and it is an important and deeply spiritual legacy. I also was concerned about some of his positions and statements, leaving many in considerable confusion. Despite his illness and age, it is shocking news. I pray for his eternal rest. And pray we as the One, Holy, CAtholic and Apostolic Church come together in prayer to Holy Spirit for our Church and guidance for electing a new pope.
Yes. Typically, conclave will start 15-20 days from now. It would be quite symbolic if a new pope was elected on May 13th - within that tine line- . But for now, I pray for PF and the Church. Like so much else in world right now, this is a critical moment.
