The Future of the United States of America.

Money talks. I have good and bad feelings about all of this. I’m almost afraid to say what I am thinking but will watch and see. There is a huge spiritual battle going on right now and it’s getting stronger.

 

It very much is unsettling. It reminds me of the insight Blessed Catherine Emmerich gave us of the time Judas was operating under the eyes of Jesus and Mary when He was preaching in the Holy Land. They both knew what the guy was up to but let him of the leash. Mary constantly intervened with him to swerve him from his wicked ways but Judas just would not bite.

It's so like today.

Judas was an actual Apostle , picked by Jesus Himself and yet fully walking the Dark Side.

Times change yet times remain the same.

 

But you know, I come back to the fact that none of us will ever be sent to hell for someone else's sins.

 

You are right, such a spiritual war & it feels like we're being severely punished for our Faith.

I pray this is the year God rewards us for our fidelity to Him. It's been such a long, hard, lonely road but I know we can say we love Him the most. If we lose it all, if He kills us, we will still love Him.

Imagine having the temerity to irreverently ad-lib the most important Words in History. To have the nerve to assert that He would 'decrease' while this idiot presumably imagines himself increasing. Yet, He allowed Himself to be Crucified; Died; Defeated Death and Resurrected; Descended into Hades and released those who previously could not enter Heaven (if I have my theology right); and finally Ascended to sit at the right hand of The Father. What kind of decreasing is that?

One very positive thing about the USA is that people are prepared to ask questions even big questions and to be listened to. Even to get answers. Generally we don;t get this in Europe. We are fed a narrative which we are all fed and expected to go along with.

True during the Biden Administration people were fed narratives but many people and at the end most people did not go long with.I think the big difference is Faith. Christian Faith, strong Faith , brings great Freedom of thought. It leads to openness to the truth. It makes it harder to have the wool pulled over your eyes. My brother , when he moved to the USA spoke of the great sense of Freedom there. I suspect this finds its roots in Freedom of thought.

Over here if Government tells us something the vast majority of people are inclined to go along with it, Whereas in the USA if Washington says something people are more inclined to wonder what they are lying about and why they are lying. This strikes me as much , much healthier.

 

I believe that too. In the US, a much larger proportion of the population is Christian and religious. These people are searching for the truth or at least asking themselves questions. Even in my social environment here, I notice that it is religious people who question political things and are interested in the truth. And vice versa, the search for truth in earthly matters leads people to spiritual thoughts and the corresponding search for truth.

Yes Padraig, we usually think the opposite of what they report. That is probably why I question everything .
But there are so many who believe the dog and pony shows that have been shown.... propaganda plays on emotions and fear.
