SUN IN THE SHAPE OF A CROSS SEEN AT GARABANDAL On June 13,1978 at approximately 5 :30pm, A group of pilgrims from Great Britain were praying at the grove of Pine trees, and all of a sudden one of them said “ Look at the Sun ! “ 32 of the pilgrims observed the Sun in the shape of a cross while others saw it turn into a silver disk which spun rapidly, others saw it change into different colors such as blue and green, sometimes within another circle. Today in Garabandal history: On December 6, 1962 Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided two more pieces of information regarding the Miracle: 1) One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. The doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle. 2) On the day of the Miracle, the note that she was forced to sign in Santander (stating that the apparitions were not authentic) will disappear. “SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN” Book 3 page 103 --------------------------------- #2 * The Commission was so desperate to discredit the apparitions, and especially Conchita, that they actually removed Conchita from her home, brought her to another town, CUT MOST OF HER HAIR OFF, (because these “Doctors” thought her hair had magical powers ! What fools ! They had a priest ( Fr. Luis Gonzalez ) threaten her by saying: “If you persist in talking about apparitions, you will be disgraced. We will declare you crazy and lock you in a mad house. And your parents will go to jail.” Dr. Pinal ,the Commission appointed doctor ,and Dr. Morales, tried to “Hypnotize “ her ! ( but Mary appeared to her and blocked out their voices). They forced her to sign A BLANK PIECE OF PAPER ! (which the Commission conveniently filled in later,admitting to her guilt ). Her release was contingent on signing that blank sheet. She regretted that action and apologized to Mary many times.This happen to a frightened 12 year old, separated from family or counsel. Can you imagine this happening in today’s age ? This outrageous behavior today would be called “Criminal Child abuse” ! !

December 6-7,1962 Conchita learned on this day that an almost generalized disaffection for Garabandal, would come only one week before “D Day”, in other words, as early as the day following the announcement that she would make. There will be few people at the village to attend the great Miracle on site. Nevertheless, it will be seen on television, could be filmed ,etc. The Visionary declared on the other hand, that as the future great events draw near “ presumed and false manisfistations of the Blessed Virgin will increase considerably “. Hi Glenn, Requested clarification: Conchita was told that only a few people will be present in Garabandal when the foretold Miracle happens? Therefore, only a few miraculous healings will occur at this time - since few people will heed her 8-day advance notice and travel to Garabandal for the Miracle? Or, did I misconstrue your recent post? Blessings!
Remember in prophecy words are sometimes "grey" words as opposed to black and white. First of all , Conchita said "few" NOT "a few" ( " few" when considering the population of the world ! ) We all expect MILLIONS of people to be there, but maybe because of a hundred problematic reasons , only thousands, or hundreds are able. So " few" to God, may not be "few" to us.
Today in Garabandal history: DECEMBER 8, 1963: Awakened by a mysterious interior uneasiness, Conchita went to the church at around 5:30 a.m. with her mother. Before the church doors, she fell into ecstasy . . . The Blessed Virgin first "wished me a happy feast day," adding these profound words (almost identical to those said, in 1858, to Bernadette in Lourdes): "You will not be happy on Earth, but, yes, you will be in Heaven!" During a locution that occurred on this December 8, 1964, the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel revealed to Conchita that she would have a new apparition of the Archangel St. Michael, on next June 18, (1965). Conchita and the Glass of Milk One day Conchita was eating near the elevated kitchen fireplace on a small stool where she usually sat. Suddenly Loli came inside in ecstasy and said to her: — “Conchita, the Virgin says you should finish quickly, since she is going to come to see you.” Conchita sped up her motions a little, and then as she lifted her glass of milk, to everyone’s surprise, she fell into ecstasy, the glass of milk in her hand. She came down slowly from the fireplace, and at the doorway of the house, she started running swiftly toward the church. She stopped abruptly in front of the portico. There they were able to take the celebrated glass of milk from her hand. To everyone’s surprise, not a drop had been lost. It is my understanding that it was said when the Miracle happens that it will be very difficult to get to Garabandal for some reason. It is possible that the situation in Europe will be such at the time that people may be prevented from being there. We will only know when the time is here. "It would look like the communists would have taken over the whole world and it would be very hard to practice the religion, for priests to say Mass or for people to open the doors of the churches." and "...Whoever practices it (the Faith) will have to go into hiding."

SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. (1891-1974) was canonized by Pope John Paul II in Madrid 2003. St. Maria Maravillas of Jesus This extraordinary Carmelite nun, who was beatified in 1998, less than 25 years after she died, founded the "Association of St. Teresa," with the purpose of restoring the rule of life of the original Constitutions of 1581, rigorously established by Teresa of Avila one year before her own death. Mother Maravillas "knew" that Garabandal was authentic. She even clearly shared her conviction with her spiritual daughters, assuring them that "the phenomena occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal come from God!" From “ GARABANDAL” BOOK by J. Serre, page 227 In an unusual side note. St. Maravillas warned Bishop Puchol Montis on April 25, 1967 (one of the former Bishops of Santander ) that he would have a sudden death. After his written letter of March 17,1967 trying to discredit the apparitions and messages, he is warned by Mother Maravillas. He refuses to change his stance on Garabandal. He is told of his future death on April 25 ,1967 He died as a result of an automobile accident (13 days later) on May 8, 1967.
December 13, 1961, Mary smiling and laughing On December 13, 1961, Conchita wrote in a letter to the pastor of Barro, Father José Ramón García de la Riva. “The day of the Immaculate Conception (Dec.8 ), the Virgin came to wish me good name day. ( happy feast day ) She had already said that she would come and when she came she was smiling and laughing a lot. The first thing she said was: "Happy name day”. Hierognosis examples at Garabandal by Father José Ramon Garcia de la Riva “Several episodes of hierognosis (unexplainable recognition of religious relics or persons) happened in front of me at Garabandal. Without question, the visionaries recognized persons consecrated to God. They also knew the number of priests present in the village. In her diary, Conchita points out a Dominican who was there incognito. During her ecstasy, she spoke of him and they heard her call him “dominicou.” Later she warned him on behalf of the Virgin that he should wear his habit . . . “So beautiful!” * Also, the girls recognized whether an object had or had not been kissed by the Virgin. While in ecstasy, always. A hundred proofs of this could be given. I can personally verify that, even in the normal state, Conchita knew this. An example: — “Conchita, during the next apparition, would you offer this rosary for the Virgin’s kiss?” — “But it’s already been done.” Since I was sure that she had never seen it, I insisted. — “Be nice, do me a favor. Offer it during the apparition.” — “But why do you want her to redo it, since it has already been done?” she answered smiling. Miguel (Conchita’s Brother) witnesses the Miracle of the Host on Conchita’s tongue. (July18,1962) “Conchita went upstairs where there were some relatives and many other people. She went out the door and in spite of the large crowd gathered outdoors, she was able to pass through as for me when I went out I had to jump over people and squeeze through here and there. I had a very difficult time getting to Conchita. By the time I got there she was already on her knees. I saw her make the sign of the cross and an act of contrition. I tell you this as if the event is engraved in my mind. She put out her tongue and in an instant “boom !” the host was there. (Miguel snapped his fingers to emphasize the suddenness of the appearance) I don't know where it came from. So suddenly the Host was on her tongue. UNTANGLED ROSARIES Another interesting miraculous phenomenon was the returning of rosaries. Now that people started to believe the Blessed Mother was actually appearing at Garabandal, they would bring their rosaries and medals to be kissed by her. They were all piled on a table for the girls to offer up to her. Entangled when presented by the girls to be venerated by the Blessed Mother, rosaries, medals, and multitude of objects would incredibly untangle smoothly when being returned to their owners. Even without any pre-established order. The Garabandal visionaries also never errored in returning each object to its proper owner, and never actually had to look for the owner, Mary led them to the owner while gazing upward at her.
December 17, 2013 I wanted to share something special with you today. I received a letter from Conchita on this date, after the passing of her husband Patrick. I wanted to post the last sentence of her letter, it's TRULY PROFOUND. She said: " Death for sure is not the end, it is the beginning and the vanities of the world are a loss of energy because it distracts us from the reality of life, and true happiness. "
