Dearest Sanctus, You sound so much like one of my daughters. This beautiful daughter seems to struggle with one thing after another. It is relentless. She is a very sensitive soul and one who has a great empathy for others. In fact she is by the worlds comparison not as together as my other daughters, because they seem to ride highs and lows more easily, yet her love and her compassion for others is tangible and I feel this extraordinary gift of her love even in my own world of mothering and grandmothering. Its hard to explain. She is at this moment going through a major hardship with one of my darling granddaughters. Please Pray for this situation. This daughter is a wonderful mum, yet she believes she is a bad mum. Please Sanctus and all others pray for her. She needs prayers. Her Name is Amy (the beloved) I want so much to visit her in her new home town which is over 8 hours drive away from us and yet my disabled husband is refusing. My husbands disabilities continue to progress, he now needs my assistance with all manner of normal daily functions and this has restricted me for 2 years to be able to visit my children who live over 5 hours away, the only alternative is that he comes with me but he refuses to do this, because he states that the long travel will increase his pain. All I can say, is that many times I find a cross we are asked to endure and accommodate to best of our ability, can hinder our ability to accommodate other crosses the Lord has given. I know I need to be with my daughter and granddaughter now! I pray to the King of Love, the Infant Jesus, to allow for a miraculous intervention into this dilemma. Thank you for your prayers
Josephite i will start praying for Amy today. And for you. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to be away from her at this time. But you are taking care of Jesus in His "distressing disguise" as your husband. No easy thing. But Jesus knows and is very grateful.
Praying now. Very,very big Crosses. I heard a commentator talking about Purgatory the other day and he said something a little bit shocking. He said that in order to avoid Purgatory we must become real martyrs an dying to ourselves. I never thought about it that way but I suppose it is true. We must die to ourselves. We must pick up our Cross. Just as we die with Christ so we shall live with Him. None of this is ever going to be easy.
I will also remember your intentions Josephite. I have a daughter who is overwhelmed right now although she lives in the same town. But she's not handling things well even though she is the closest to trying to be Catholic...
It is a real Mystery in this life why some people seem to suffer so much more than others ( but even this is hard to judge, a thing that may be water of the duck's back to one person may be a total killer to another). But then again we are not all called to the same place in heaven. Some of us to higher choirs than others. Well if we are called to higher places in heaven this surely means much great suffering. Sometimes much, much, much greater suffering. But I am less concerned about the people who suffer so much than I would be about people who do not appear to suffer at all, the very rich and famous and admired...people who seem to live with no Cross at all. Them I would be concerned with. Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

I need some help. I am flying to London tomorrow for the weekend from George Best Airport, Bekfast. I just tried booking parking and it seems there is no parking available in any of the car parks! Hmm I have never been to this airport and have no idea where I'll park. Prayers to our Blessed Mother that I'll find somewhere when I arrive. I might have to park in Belfast and get a taxi. But I have no clue of Belfast ... I had better leave early!
