We are being called to draw near to the seat of Peter and not to languish in the comfortable cabins beneath the raging storm. We are called to the helm:
1) So we can witness first hand what tempests await.
2) So we can pray more fervently together and put into action those acts needed by our pastors for their encouragement.
3) So we hear Our Lords voice more clearly, which repeats in the wind, "steady as she goes"
4) So we can pray with greater specificity for the graces needed by our pope.
