I'm so sorry to hear this John. You and your family certainly don't have to look far for your troubles.

But at least you caught it.

    Prayers to Our Blessed Lady.

  5. I saw this post from twitter this morning and it made me think of MoG and you QuD. I think we know who dives in and rescues us: God works through people, especially Our Blessed Mother and thanks be to God for your wife QuD. “A truly remarkable woman, who can find her?” Proverbs 31:10

“At the World Championships in Budapest, USA’s Anita Alvarez sank to the bottom of the pool. Looking across the deck, and noticing she was under way too long, her coach, Andrea Fuentes immediately dove in after her fully clothed, pulling her to safety. Anita was unconscious and didn’t have the capacity to kick, paddle, or help herself in any way. If Andrea would not have noticed, she would have drown. But she knew Anita. She looked for her, quickly noticed she was under too long, then dove in without thinking twice. This has resonated with me…. When you are under too long, who are the people that will look for you, notice, and dive in to pull you to the surface when you lose your strength to swim? Who are the people that would do that for you? And can someone count on you to be that person that would go looking and notice when they are under too long, diving in to support them when they are all out of fight and fuel to swim in these turbulent waters we call life? “[IMG]

Your wife is a rock star! Good for her. But I am sorry you have to deal with this. Good thing you are on the meds. My husband had this some years ago and the meds took care of it but he had to be off it as I recall.

Thank goodness your wife insisted and they caught it.

I had a similar experience many years ago…. Pain behind knee…. Like you , it was a DVT…. I was able to treat at home with heparin injections for about 6 weeks along with Coumadin. All should work at well… please feel free to IM me if you have any concerns..

Such great news. Knee arthritis is painful and can radiate to back of knee. I know this.
    God bless you!

Oh this is such good news that it is not a clot. A pinched nerve and arthritis is no fun. I speak from experience.:( You have all my sympathy. But a blood clot is so serious. I'm glad you "dodged a bullet" as we say here in the US.
    Prayer continues.

I prayed this prayer this morning which my mother gave to me a few months ago

Every day I need you Lord
    But this day especially,
    I need some extra strength
To face whatever is to be.
This day more than any day
I need to feel you near,
    To fortify my courage
    And to overcome my fear.
    By myself, I cannot meet
    The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power
To assist us bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray,
Hold on to my trembling hand
    And be near me today.

    Amen.
