Communism is Christendom's greatest foe and repeating Stalin's Holodomor in Ukraine is evil. The Kremlin's thugs aren't there to "liberate" anyone; they're there to kill, rape and commit genocide. It is only Ukrainian bravery and Western weapons, and God's Grace, that are holding the line. Millions of Ukrainians have been displaced. Putin is a bad guy, not a "Good Christian". Some background on the Soviet Genocide of Ukrainians during the Holodomor. Now, at long last, some governments are officially recognizing it, given current events: "The total number of deaths surpassed those of World War I. In the years 1930-1937, collectivization and famine killed up to 11 million people across the Soviet Union, including 6.5 million Ukrainians and about 3 million children. The 1932-1933 famine killed 5 million people in Ukraine, 18.8% of the population.[4] At the height of the famine, over 25,000 people died every day, 1,000 an hour, or 17 a minute. Cannibalism was reported across the country.[5] “ Our neighbour killed his wife, dismembered her body and was seen to make soup of her.[6] ” Famous Russian author Boris Pasternak, who visited the area, commented: “ What I saw could not be expressed in words. There was such inhuman, unimaginable misery, such a terrible disaster, that it began to seem almost abstract, it would not fit within the bounds of consciousness. I fell ill. For an entire year I could not write.[7] Holodomor was forcefully covered up by both the Soviet authorities and by various Soviet sympathizers in the West.[8] At the time the genocide was committed, the Soviet authorities tried to keep any mention of it from coming out. Later, they kept any information from coming out from behind the Iron Curtain. Soviet historians tried to erase all evidence of this tragedy. They were aided by Western journalists like Walter Duranty of the New York Times, who not only helped conceal all evidence of Holodomor, but also called other journalists who reported on it liars.[5][8] Only a very few journalists were honest enough to tell the story of the famine, such as Gareth Jones. The lack of knowledge of this genocide was observed by English writer George Orwell, who commented "huge events like the Ukraine famine of 1933, involving the deaths of millions of people, have actually escaped the attention of the majority of English Russophiles".[9] The Soviets managed to cover this up until Ukraine's independence in 1991. Official Soviet documents recently declassified revealed that the genocide was indeed intended to target the Ukrainian people.[10] To this day there are still Stalinists and Russophiles who attempt to deny Holodomor was genocide, despite the fact that the governments of over 22 nations have officially recognized it as genocide. These countries are: Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Paraguay, Poland, Peru, Spain, U.S.A. and Ukraine itself. Also included among those who recognized it as genocide is Pope John Paul II.[11] In 2003, the 70th anniversary of the famine, Soviet sympathizers in the UN said the famine "ranks with the worst atrocities of our time" but did not use the word genocide.[12] Russia still refuses to admit that it committed genocide. Douglas Tottle wrote a controversial book titled Fraud, Famine, and Fascism: The Ukrainian Genocide Myth from Hitler to Harvard, attempting to blame the "myth" on nationalist propagandists. In 2003 the Russian ambassador to Ukraine, Viktor Chernomyrdin, said "We're not going to apologise... there is nobody to apologise to.[12]" The Russians were, however, well aware of what was really going on. One of Stalin's lieutenants claimed in 1933 that the genocide was working. He said it showed the peasants "who is the master here. It cost millions of lives, but the collective farm system is here to stay.[13]" In 1988, the U. S. Commission on the Ukraine Famine reported to Congress, confirming that genocide was committed.[14]" https://www.conservapedia.com/Ukrainian_genocide [Holodomor]
"The love of money is the root of all evil". Our Lord Jesus Christ. I'll take His word over some journalist's opinion. The love of money can manifest itself in many ways. For example: The Russian armed forces are not "Kremlin thugs". They are soldiers serving their country. Russia is not the Soviet Union and Stalin was Georgian. There are no good guys in the leadership of any of the parties to this conflict. Many countries have dark periods in their past. Ukraine hails Stepan Bandera as a hero: https://www.thefirstnews.com/articl...years-ago-today-and-lasted-for-two-years-6714 From the article: "Between 1943 and 1945, members of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army massacred thousands of Poles throughout Wołyń, a region that was in Nazi-occupied Poland and is part of present-day Ukraine." "The killings were directly linked with radical Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera’s Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and its military arm, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Their goal was to purge all non-Ukrainians from a future Ukrainian state. They wanted not only to purge Polish civilians, but also to erase all traces of Polish presence in the area." "In the blood frenzy, the Ukrainians tortured their victims with unimaginable bestiality. Victims were scalped. They had their noses, lips and ears cut off. They had their eyes gouged out and hands cut off and they had their heads squashed in clamps. Woman had their breasts cut off and pregnant woman were stabbed in the belly. Men had their genitals sliced off with sickles." In the opinion of the historian Prof. Grzegorz Motyka, an expert on Polish-Ukrainian issues, “although the anti-Polish action was an ethnic cleansing, it also meets the definition of genocide”.
And here's what Pope Francis said: https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/...mmunists-stole-christianitys-concern-for-poor "I must say that communists have stolen our flag. The flag of the poor is Christian," he said. "Poverty is the center of the Gospel. The poor are at the center of the Gospel. Let's take a look at Matthew 25, the protocol through which we will be finally judged: I was hungry, I was thirsty, I have been imprisoned, I was sick, naked…Let's take a look at the Beatitudes, another flag." "Communists say that all of this is communist. Yes, 20 centuries after… So, when they speak, we could respond them: you are Christians," Much of what Putin said is similar to what the Pope said. The biggest difference is that Putin thinks that Christian principles were instituted by men. He's correct when he says that Communism is a religion invented by men. They took what they saw as the good in Christianity and tried to remake it as the brotherhood of man without the fatherhood of God. "A gradual canticle of Solomon. Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Unless the Lord keep the city, he watcheth in vain that keepeth it." Communism isn't the only house not built by God. None of them will outlast Christ's Church.
I think your are now describing the the Capitalist West which is now ruled by the communist Globalist Elite. These Western Globalist Elite will rape the children, mutilate, kill, and commit vaccine genocide on their people. In addition, they are building Sodom and Gomorrah kingdoms throughout the world, and very soon they will implement the Mark of the Beast on their citizenry...
Francis' statement on communism well represents the apostasy of the current pontificate, which seems to forget that communism is the equal distribution of poverty and a statist cult that puts itself in the place of God. However, the pope did it in a "less bad" way than Putin in the video, who made a blasphemous comparison of the preserved relics of saints with the infamous mummy of Lenin displayed in a mausoleum.

Rosaries give power to the righteous fighting against the globalist agenda. Praying the Rosary brings the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of men to make the wise decisions. A proxy war against Russia is not a wise decision. It’s dumb. I totally agree with Sunnyveil. We are being conned in believing Russia was our enemy. Pondering upon Putin’s morals is not what we should have focused on. Peace with Russia and Ukraine is what Trump wanted and he was right.
The Deep State Swamp in the US government was not drained, but it got Exposed big time. More people are waking up. The Holy Rosaries prayed are bringing what is happening in the shadows into the light...
I'm afraid, Luan, that you are mistaken. What the Pope said is right. What Putin said is partly right. That you can't see it doesn't make either of them a Communist and it certainly doesn't make the Pope an apostate or heretic. Communist supposed care for the poor and downtrodden can be very attractive to ideological young people especially when compared to wealthy Christians who don't live the Gospel. Pope Francis reminded Catholics to reclaim what was given to us by God and what the Communists stole from us: the Beatitudes which marked out the early Christians and played a huge part in converting the Gentiles. There was no blasphemous comparison. Putin attempted to explain where the Soviets got the notion of venerating the body of what to them was the founder of their new religion. They were copying Christian veneration of Saints in an attempt to keep his memory alive for future generations. He didn't compare Lenin with the saints. He compared what the Soviets did with the ancient religious practice. It's not a Catholic virtue to seek the worst or attribute the worst motives in others.
It is not a Catholic virtue to justify anyone who compares the veneration of saints preserved by their sanctity and by the supernatural power of God to the infamous veneration of a psychopath like Lenin, who was one of the darkest figures in the history of mankind.
He mentioned the case of Lenin's mummy and asked how this is different from the case of the relics of saints venerated in Christianity. He completely ignored the gulf that exists between the two things: the saints being preserved by the power of God and Lenin only by human procedures. It is something similar to what many atheists and Protestants think of us.
What he means is that 20 centuries after the rise of Christianity (after the church had already expressly condemned communism and defended its own social doctrine), communists scattered around the world in organizations, parties, and governments have a genuine concern for the poor. which turns out to be a great incentive for us to vote for leftist parties, as he also did when he publicly criticized Trump in 2016.
He said that the Communists adapted the Christian practice to their ideology. That's a fact and it's not blasphemous to say it. When he spoke of the saints he referred to their "Holy relics". I don't recall him calling Lenin holy. We'll have to agree to disagree on this. You continue looking for the splinter in Russia's eye. I'm more concerned with the log in my country's eye. Not Communism but the corruption and sexualisation of children as well as the dismantling of the traditional family is the greatest threat to Christianity in the West and it is being funded, managed and promoted by corporate capitalism. Communism could certainly be the long term result of the economic shambles expected to transpire from this needless war in Ukraine engineered by corporate capitalists and their political puppets in NATO's most influential countries, There's nothing Christian about either corporate capitalism or communism, Neither was built by God and neither can last but both can leave great suffering in their wake.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is being used as the trial run for a central bank digital currency. President Zelensky is a huge fan. Here's what's coming down the line for all of us. Our lives will be transformed by a smartphone app named Diia (I grimaced when I heard the name because Dia is God in the Irish language but it has only one "I" whereas the app as two. All the better to see us with, my dears.
