Father David Nix's description of his mother's illness and death which be believes were due to the vax . He says his mother listened to her doctors and the Church.

On a more positive note, we should all be so blessed to be able to approach death the way she and her family did.

How interesting to experience all these Liturgies in his life. In Ireland we only really get to experience the two Catholic Liturgies the Novus Ordo and the Traditionalist. Very, very occasionally Protestant.

America is such a melting pot.

I have found in my own life when people die who are old it is kind of more natural. Like an apple falling of a tree. But when young people die or folks die suddenly in an accident or in a war it is quite different. We are faced with more questions.

As for the virus. For us ordinary people who were faced with choices but they were personal choices mostly. We made them just for ourselves. But public figures made choices, sometimes that affected millions of others. They had the responsibility of thinking very, very, very long and very, very hard about things. But an awful lot of people seem incapable of thinking long and hard about anything at all. They just kinda go with the flow.

    So sad.

Ok  Wow :( That was terrible  I should have stopped reading when I found out he would be telling of his moms last moments. I was reading it at a local restaurant and was balling my eyes out  :cry: I couldn’t help think of when my own mother will die:cry::cry::cry::love::love::love::cry::cry:
I know he was a priest but I would love to get that prayer book so I may say those same prayers as my mother passes.

How very beautiful is the Roman Rite prayer of the Commendation of the Soul. I love this, thank you!

And then, when your soul goes forth from your body, may the radiant company of angels come to meet you. May the assembly of the apostles, our judges, welcome you. May the victorious army of white-robed martyrs meet you on your way. May the glittering throng of confessors, bright as lilies, gather about you. May the glorious choir of virgins receive you. May the patriarchs enfold you in the embrace of blessed peace. May St. Joseph beloved patron of the dying raise you on high in hope and may the holy Mother of God, the Virgin Mary, lovingly turn her eyes toward you. And then, gentle and joyful, may Christ Jesus appear before you to assign you a place forever among those who stand in His presence.

Reading the Transfixion, by Blessed Mary of Agreda, helped me to love Pope Francis a little bit --- I'm working on it. The Blessed Mother never felt anger, hatred or animosity to any who persecuted, tortured and killed her son. She prayed for them.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Asks Pope To Visit Ukraine, Help Repatriate Children

Pope Francis meets Ukrainian refugees as he holds his weekly general audience at the Vatican on August 24, 2022.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has invited Pope Francis to visit Ukraine and asked for help in repatriating thousands of children taken to Russia or Russian-occupied land since Moscow's invasion. Shmyhal told a news conference in Rome on April 27 that he discussed Kyiv's peace formula to end the war in talks at the Vatican. "I asked his holiness for help in returning home Ukrainian children who are being held, arrested, deported to Russia in a criminal way," Shmyhal said. Pope Francis, 86, has said previously that he wants to visit Kyiv and Moscow on a peace mission. To read the original story by Reuters, click here.

  11. I think he just concluded his visit, if I’m not mistaken. I’m also wildly tempted to move to Budapest.

frankly, I thought Francis would visit Hungary in order to facilitate a visit to moscow, since the country's prime minister is one of Putin's few regional allies.

    I hope you're right.

According to this article the pope is cautioning Hungary not be 'belligerent' and nationalistic. He seems to be implying that Hungary needs to join the rest of the EU in its pro-Ukraine stance.

Orban says the West is the side not seeking peace. Maybe the pope should visit Zelensky and NATO and tell them to seek peace.

If you have four or more children you never again have to pay income taxes in Hungary.

Hypothetically, if the pope who went to Moscow was an anti-pope, would that fulfill the conditions that are supposed to precede the warning?

No. An anti-pope is not a pope at all. Not any more than you or me. So if Pope Francis does go to Moscow and that is followed by the Warning hopefully that will cement people's belief that he is a valid pope.

True enough and something to look forward to.

On the other hand, if that hypothetical anti-pope went to Moscow and the warning did not follow within a few years, people might disbelieve the Garabandal prophecies. I think there is supposed to be something that happens which suspends belief in Garabandal for a period of time.

it would be incoherent for the prophecy to mention him as pope, since in the prophecy about the popes conchita supposedly disregarded John Paul I because he would have a very short reign.

Had it not been for the invasion of Ukraine, it is possible that Francis would have legitimized Moscow's claims as the third Rome (in the name of Synodality), since he is a strong ally of Latin American socialists who are Putin's allies in his project of a new world order co-led by China. the fact that the pope governs from Italy (a member of NATO) precludes this, as the Vatican could face economic sanctions from the bloc in response.
