I found another one of those great little known stories, on how our Blessed Mother performed “small miracles “ all the time ,that went unnoticed until years later . This stories comes from when Conchita was in school in Burgos, under the direction of Mother Nieves Garcia. This story was revealed to Mother ,by Conchita on Nov.12,1966.

Conchita speaking to Mother Nieves : “You know Fr. Collin? Now he is trying to pass for the Pope ( he is a Frenchman with a small group of followers who called himself Clement XV.) he was in my village. He wanted to speak with me but my mother wouldn't allow it. The people ended up throwing him out of the village. Well when I was in Rome, they showed me a picture from a newspaper in which I was shown at Fr. Collin's side, and it mentioned there that he had been with me and many other lies. I deny this since I have never been with him. They make up many things like this. One day a woman came to my village and insistently asked me to inscribe a card for her. I wrote nothing more than "Ask that God bless our only Pope his Holiness Paul VI." I don't know why that occurred to me. A little later a priest I know well ,came running up and said to me " What have you written for that woman ? She is a Mason, a supporter of Fr. Collin".

Amazing how Mary saw everything going on and protected Conchita!

    ARE YOUR HANDS EMPTY ?

    The Last Apparition at Garabandal
November 13, 1965, was a day mixed with joy and sadness for Conchita. The Virgin appeared with her Child to the teenager but it was to be for the last time at Garabandal.

Conchita said to the Virgin, "I am so happy when I see both of you. Why don't you take me now to heaven with you?" She replied, "Remember what I told you on your patronal feast day? " When you present yourself before God, your hands must be filled with good deeds done for your brothers and for His glory. At the present time, your hands are empty."

Then she said to me : “Remember what I told you on the day of your birthday (meaning feast day ),that you will suffer much on this earth ? Have faith in Us and you will willingly offer these sufferings to Our Hearts for the good of brothers, then you will feel Us closer to you”.

And I said to her” How unworthy I am, O Dear Mother, of so many graces received from both of You. And you still come to me today to make lighter the little cross that I now carry. “
Then she said to me “ Conchita,I am not coming only for you but I am coming for all my children, with a desire to see them closer to our hearts”.

NOVEMBER 14, 1965:The reason Albrecht was at Conchita's house was ,this is the day after the very last apparition of the Blessed Mother (Nov. 13, 1965 ).

CONCHITA OPENS UP WITH GERMAN EDITOR ALBRECHT WEBER The German publisher was at the village on the very day Conchita had her last apparition of the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel. During his stay, he had a series of conversations with Conchita, of which he published certain excerpts in 1993, in his fine book, 'Garabandal, The Hand of God.' In the presence of Aniceta, Eloisa Deguia (Madrid), and his own sister, the conversations bore, among other major topics, on "the last Popes," on the future "Unity of the Church," on "abortion" as well, about which Conchita, astonished, pointed out to A. Weber that it would cause the Cup of divine Wrath to overflow! The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time.!"

Glenn, can you let me know if there are any relatives of Joey lomangino who are currently actively participating in the garanbadal apostolate?.

No. I was the Director of Public Relations for Joey's apostolate, and I had already started the facebook page in 2009, so I assumed the responsibility to continue his apostolate work through social media, as it was easier to reach a global audience.
That is also why Conchita only speaks through that page (and now this one),a long friendship and trust.

PADRE PIO , THE ROSARY & CONCHITA

Padre Pio always wore the Rosary around his arm at night. A few days before his death, as Padre Pio was getting into bed, he said to the friars who were in his room, "Give me my weapon!" And the friars, surprised and curious, asked him: "Where is the weapon? We cannot see anything!" Padre Pio replied, "It is in my habit, which you have just hung up!" After having gone through the pockets of his religious habit, the friars said to him: "Padre, there is no weapon in your habit! . . . we can only find your rosary beads there!" Padre Pio immediately said, "And is this not a weapon? . . . the true weapon?!"

Upon his death, Padre Pio left Conchita one of his blood stained gloves, a veil from his wake, and his rosary.
Of all the people in the world, he chose her, believed in her, and that speaks volumes to me. !

November 16,1966 — “Sometimes they judged me bad without reason. I remember that one day the guards told me something bad that had been said about me. I let out a laugh, because I didn't understand. They became angry at my laughter. Later I mentioned it in my home, and everyone was upset. They even came to threaten the guards for having said such things to a child. “

( Glenn speaking ) I was talking to Conchita one day in April 2014, and I was telling her how much I hate the lies and gossip on the internet against her and our Blessed Mothers messages, and she said it didn’t bother her. I said “why ?”
She said “ I don’t have anything to hide from God, so I don’t worry about what anyone else thinks”.

November 17 , Conchita in conversation with Mother ( Sister) Neives

Conchita had heard that there was danger of war because of the situation in Gibraltar . . . She was worried, thinking of her brother Miguel, and she spoke to the Sister as soon as she saw her: “How afraid I am of war! Will it happen? “
In 1962, when they were talking about the threat of war, I mentioned it to the Virgin. Will there be a war? She only answered me, God does not want war for His children. That says a lot, doesn't it? “
In order to inspire Conchita to be strong in the face of difficulties, the sister talked to her about Christ. This obviously pleased Conchita; however, she ended up saying this: —
“I think more of the Virgin. It is . . . as if I have more feeling for her. The Lord is very serious. And when He speaks to me, He seems concerned for everyone. The Virgin, as if more for me . . . Anyway, in summing things up: who loves the Mother, also loves the Son. Isn't that so? “

    Sir Hudson,

Might I inquire, without offense, why it is always past or future oriented with your Garabandal page. For me the in between is so much more interesting. So much has happened in silent, hidden ways in that tiny hamlet since the apparitions, and so much will happen before any great events. Things that go unnoticed by most. For example, a man who stood alone at the Pines playing a song to his mother, the Virgin. A lone local man who joins the older women in daily mass and rosary. The local Cantabrian song that is sung. The small but wonderful feasts celebrated as a community. Various mystics from all over the world have traveled to touch sacred ground. My own journey. Countless Pilgrims and communities. Perhaps a chronicle of the "in-between" is just as important, although like goodness itself it doesn't garnish the attention of the dramatic. How many people have been to San Sebastian, and what are their stories, what led them there? They are like the dead that no one remembers. You are consistent in your presentation of the events, but there is more that goes unobserved. Perhaps a space for people to tell their Garabandal stories, so that the history will be complete. We might be shocked to see what went unnoticed from the end of the apparitions to the beginning of the events. Perhaps the Virgin does not appear anymore, but the Spirit of God is no less active, I would imagine.

Because I can verify what I post, random stories of people's experiences are not always verifiable ( or even real) or related to the "message of Garabandal". I try to deal in facts.

It’s like the story of the juggling brother who was kicked out of the monastery because everyone thought he was dumb for juggling in front of an icon of the Virgin. When the icon started weeping the community wanted to console the Virgin and asked her why she was crying, and she said she missed her juggler. Maybe she misses someone…. Someone should ask her why she is crying. So, we can remedy her heart. Or...they could be tears of Joy too. Mother's weep for joy over their children.

Henri, You can start your own thread and tell your story about your visit to Garabandal and others can post their stories too. Members often discuss their pilgrimages on MOG.
Imho, Glenn’s thread, this one, is very effective as is.

    NOVEMBER 18 1963:
When the locutions began, each of the two visionaries was unaware that her companion was going through the same spiritual experience.

ABOUT A FEW OF CONCHITA'S AND MARI-LOLI'S LOCUTIONS
The Blessed Virgin spoke to the two visionaries about Felipe Sobrado, a priest martyr of the Spanish Civil War, and whose remains were transferred to the church of Pontejoz, on November 18, 1963 precisely. "He will not be canonized, but through his intercession God will perform miracles" said the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel to Conchita.
The locutions always came when Conchita and Loli were praying. The most important ones were given them at the church after they had received Holy Communion.

PADRE PIO SEES THE MIRACLE BEFORE HIS DEATH & CONCHITA IS GIVEN GIFTS BY HIM.

When Conchita found out Padre Pio died in Sept. 1968, she met his close friend, Father Bernardino Cennamo, at Lourdes, and asked him, "How is it that Our Lady told me Padre Pio would see the Miracle and he has died?" Father Cenammo responded, "Padre Pio saw the Miracle before he died. He told me himself." The priest gave Conchita one of the three veils that covered Padre Pio's face during his wake, saying that the stigmatist had requested this before he died. He told her truthfully that he personally did not believe in the authenticity of Garabandal until Padre Pio requested this of him. Conchita also was given Padre Pio's rosary, and one of the gloves he wore, stained by his stigmata. She has these treasures preserved at her home in New York.

When Conchita had returned home she decided to write about the incident to a friend in Madrid. Conchita’s interview in NEEDLES magazine “Spring” issue 1975:
"I had the cloth in front of me while I wrote the letter when all of a sudden the room was filled with a fragrance. I had heard about the fragrances from Padre Pio, but I never paid any attention to them. The whole room filled with such a strong smell of perfume that I began to cry. It was the first time I experienced this, it happened after his death."

SAINT (POPE) PAUL VI : QUOTES ON GARABANDAL

After meeting Conchita in Jan.1966 he said:
“ Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “.

Pope Paul VI had shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Xavier Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined:

"It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world."

Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said :
"It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it."

"Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal."

“All that I wrote for the day before happened today as well, except that Jacinta didn’t have an apparition. There is something I think I should write, but it is a very delicate matter. It has to do with a Belgian woman of French nationality. She felt as if the Virgin kissed her when Conchita held up her wedding band to be kissed. I have to say that this is what we think she said. We are almost positive that this was what she said, but it could also be a misunderstanding since she only speaks French, and no one who was there spoke it well. I will also say that this woman seemed very honest and dignified.”
