I find it interesting that the quran denies the biblical account that Solomon committed idolatry at the end of his life which makes him an archetype of the future imam mahdi as a righteous king faithful to God, perhaps the Jewish false messiah embodies this conception: In Islam, Solomon is regarded as one of the prophets of God who was bestowed with many divine gifts, including the ability to speak to both animals and jinn; he is also said to have enslaved the shayāṭīn (شياطين, lit. 'demons') with the support of a staff given to him by God.[2] Muslims further maintain that he remained a faithful monotheist throughout his life; reigned justly over the whole of the Israelite nation; was blessed with a level of kingship that was given to none before him nor after him; and fulfilled all of his commandments, being promised nearness to God in Jannah (جَنّة, lit. If I'm not wrong this clip is from last year. People in France have been denouncing this priest for months because of the way he uses sacred items/statues for his videos...Nothing has been done. Meanwhile if a priest dares talking about the reality of sin, he may be sent away to a remote parish because "this may shock people". This is sad.
And in that, there is hope. If you'll recall, St. John Vianney was sent to Ars because it was small, they needed a priest, and the officials thought he would do the least amount of damage there. FWIW, and IIRC, his education was so limited because he was born into a farming family during the French Revolution, so all of the schools that would have attended and had been run by the Church were closed down. Being so uneducated, he needed tutoring for ALL of his classes, up to his ordination and he barely passed his examinations in Latin, which would have prevented him from becoming a priest. Because of this there was some consideration given to prohibiting him from preaching sermons, or at least limiting him to reading sermons that had been pre-written by saints or other holy priests. Thank G_D, this prohibition was not applied. Because of his simplicity, he focused his personal spiritual devotions on and promoted the public adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, public recitation of the Rosary, and his private devotion to St. Philomena. By these simple pious practices and through his faithfulness to the Church and the Church's teachings, he became a most -- if not THE most -- powerful spiritual force of his age. During an exorcism, a possessing demon purportedly said that if there were just a handful of priests with the same faith and devotion as St. Vianney, Satan's power on this world would be broken. May G_D inspire this priest with the same faith and devotion to G_D and His Holy Church!
I have been cleaning out my book shelves and found this tucked into a book on our Guardian Angels. It is a prophecy given at a retreat in December of 2013 by a very holy woman who has a proven track record. It is so powerful reading it now and amazing that I found it because I was just referencing it to a friend on the phone last night thinking "I lost it long ago. I wish I saved it" And today in serendipitous coincidence it appears. Our Lady at work. I write it out for us here because I do believe I am supposed to.
I should add she was in front of the Blessed Sacrament in adorationwhen an icy cold wind blew over her. Text follows.
December 2013 from a very holy woman on retreat--i know her well--who received this message ftom Our Lady My people A cold wind will blow through the Church. The faith of many will grow cold. The flame of faith will grow very weak for so many of my poor children and the enemy shall have his way with them. Evil has entered the Church and it shall now bring about devastation The good will have much to suffer. A small remnant will remain faithful and the new Church shall be built upon their sufferings. Many who were once so faithful shall turn their backs on the Church which my Divine Son instituted. The darkness will be so great THAT UNLESS A SOUL HAS GIVEN HIMSELF INTO MY IMMACULATE HEART THAT I CAN CARRY HIM TO MY SON'S DIVINE HEART HE SHALL BE IN DANGER OF BEING LOST. Do not toy with the distractions or the things of this world but come quickly into the safety of my Immaculate Heart. Daily make an Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through my Immaculate Heart. You will have grace to protect and strengthen you. I cannot speak with more urgency. WARN MY CHILDTEN. ENCOURAGE THEM TO HAvE ALL FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN GOD. HE HAS CONQUERED THE EVIL ONE. When it appears all is lost you will see the Hand of God in victory.
