Ang, It will still be "mass" but it will not be the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Fr. Francis gave me permission to preach at our 4 Holy Masses last weekend. I referenced Naaman's decision to only sacrifice to the God of Israel when he returned to Aram. I used that as a launchpad to remind everyone that the goal of Holy Mass is not simply to receive Holy Communion(wonderful as that is), but that we are participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I pointed out the specific parts of Holy Mass that link to the re-presentation of the Sacrifice of Calvary. It ended up more like a lesson from the Catechism than a homily, but Catholics need to regain a sense of awe at what takes place. There is one curious thing about messages from Our Lady recently. We can see very clearly why we must stay loyal to the true Magisterium of the Church at the moment. That has always been true and will always be true, most especially at the present time when false teachings are coming even from the very highest quarters. But why would we be dragged before the courts by the secular authorities? Why should we fear imprisonment from Governments simply for believing in the One True Faith? Why would they care what we might do or not do? What could trigger such an appalling reaction? Well in the first place we have the words of Jesus Himself forecasting such a thing: Matthew 10:18 …17But beware of men; for they will hand you over to their councils and flog you in their synagogues. 18 On My account, you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say.… So Jesus warned us as a matter of course to expect to wind up in severe trouble for for holding to the Faith. The history of the Church , rather like the Irish rain it comes and goes on a regular basis. There has never been a time in the history of the Church when loyal Catholics have been been imprisoned or killed for the Faith. In fact we know that more Catholics are dying as Martyrs or living in prison as Martyrs than ever before in our history, mainly either from Islam of Communism. But in the West in recent past centuries we have gotten very used to having a quiet comfortable life in practicing the Faith. In fact often Governments have actually been very supportive of the Church as was the Emperor Constantine with the Early Church. But now we know from Prophecy and reading the Signs all around us that that is about to really radically change. The big question is why? Or what will trigger this? Why will they fall upon us like lions getting ready to tear us to pieces? I think the big factor will be the Church herself. The Church has always had her peoples backs. Killing or imprisoning individual Catholics or groups of Catholics was easy enough. But the Universal Church herself has always stood firm on her teachings. This has caused Western Governments, which have depended on Catholic votes and support to survive to back off. But if the Church herself backs off from Teachings it has always held then things will change. Take the Churches Teachings on Homosexuality fro instance. It is clearly obvious that the Leadership of the Church and the Holy Father himself is perfectly fine with sexual perversion and that they are simply looking for a chance to Teach this openly. When the day comes that advance homosexuality as fine then it will be open season on Catholics who continue to hold to the True Magisterium. The Church herself will give the nod to, 'rigid' Catholics to be dealt with. But it is not simply homosexuality. There are a whole range of issues on which the Church is shifting. Then will the doors to the death camps and prison camps open for the few still Faithful Catholics.
What you say is the plain simple truth. Though I would say that many people are waking up to the reality of what happens when unfettered sexual appetite and disorder tied in many instances to mental illness (transsexual phenomenon) is allowed to liiterally dominate all aspects of society.
According to the priest, I’ve spoken about, it’s yes, Padraig. Oct 2023 is when the final document for the Synod will be drafted. In 2024, the final document will be issued to the world. It begins after the Warning. It may be 7 to 8 years of hardship after the Warning. We will have no Eucharist, etc. I now know why living in the Divine Will will be so important.
I believe this is true. You have explained it very clearly. We got a taste of it with covid and the lockdowns. A very light dry-run. The conundrum for me is my family. I want desperately to warn them. But I am fully aware that they regard me as a quaint throwback. In the past I got terrible resistance when I spoke or affectionate smiles of resistance. I stopped speaking and warning, focusing on prayer instead. There is no question in my mind this all revolves around the 6 and 9 commandment. The world including most Catholics want contraception and/or abortion and same sex attraction. They want license to do as they wish. They do not want to be told about God's commandments. I am shaking in my boots for myself because of my own failures to keep the commandments --the Warning i fear in my own case will be devastating. But my loved ones.....its hard not to blame myself for their wholesale apostasy from the faith. Husband and children both. I went to the monastery yesterday. The good holy priest i go to see for confession has covid!!! Very very ill. Getting better but unavailable for the near future.

AED, don’t worry about the Warning. It will be a wake up call to our kids. Just pray that they convert after the Warning. We did the best we could Ann. None of us are perfect. Growing up in the 60’s, was not easy for us. God knows our hearts. There is nothing lukewarm about you. He’s got your back. Peace.
Though sometimes I am overwhelmed with the same worries, I place them at at Jesus' feet for Him to take care of. One of Our Lady's promises to those who pray her Rosary ~ By the recitation of the Rosary you shall obtain all that you ask of me. So, pray, hope and don't worry. Or, at least, try not to worry ~
I was thinking of this when I heard the first reading at Mass this morning: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Galatians 5:18-25 Theme: You cannot belong to Christ Jesus unless you crucify all self-indulgent passions and desires. If you are led by the Spirit, no law can touch you. When self-indulgence is at work the results are obvious: fornication, gross indecency and sexual irresponsibility; idolatry and sorcery; feuds and wrangling, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels; disagreements, factions, envy; drunkenness, orgies and similar things. I warn you now, as I warned you before: those who behave like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. What the Spirit brings is very different: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trustfulness, gentleness and self-control. There can be no law against things like that, of course. You cannot belong to Christ Jesus unless you crucify all self-indulgent passions and desires. Since the Spirit is our life, let us be directed by the Spirit. It seems to me that St Paul was describing Woke culture to a tee.
In the centuries when the Church in Ireland was underground, it was the Rosary more than anything else that supported the Faith. I think that is why when I was young I recall so many older people with their Rosary beads at Mass, they just loved the Rosary.
